Multiple Family Stay

The suite was very nice. We had a 4 bedroom, 3 bath condo. When we first walked in, the condo did not smell clean. A hint of cleaner or a freshener would have been nice. Sand was all over the couches, however when we called, the manager told us that since this was a beach property with tile floors, we should expect sand. The toilet in the Queen size room wasn't clean, but they quickly sent someone up to clean it for us which was very nice. During the week, a shoe was discovered under the bed in the queen size bedroom along with a lot of sand. The shoe belonged to no one in our party. The 4th bedroom wth the trundle bed should not be called a bedroom. The mattress was not appropriate for sleeping on. It needs to be replaced. My 12 year daughter and her friend slept on the couch all week, that was disappointing as that left the family room tied up a good bit. The pool was a disappointment. Not a lot of room around the pool. However; we did see pics before we booked, so we should have been aware of lack of ambiance. We stayed at Shores of Panama last year and we were spoiled by their pool, but disappointed with the rooms. I guess you have to pick and choose what is important to you.
We had a little trouble with beach chairs at the beginning of the week. Our room actually came with chairs. My thoughts are that they didn't have enough chairs to accommodate, but it was cleared up by management very quickly and I noticed that they brought more chairs in later in the day.
Ryan was wonderful, he oversaw the chairs and was very friendly. The security guard was very helpful and friendly as well. We were very disappointed with parking. Only one parking space per unit. We came with a second family. We were told that parking would be no problem, but it was.
All in all the condo is very nice, and Tanya is a wonderful person and did her best to accommodate. We would not stay at this property again while on vacation with kids. We may try again if it's adults only. Oh, lost and found is very important. We lost a shoe, and it was under the bed in the king size room, however; it was not found. Probably not found by the housekeeping and the person's that stayed after us probably threw it away, if I had to guess. I have informed management that they need to be more aware of these things. I realize that's it's our fault that we left it, but there was only one place that the shoe could have been and that was under the bed.

Owner's Response: We want each guest that we do business with to walk away feeling satisfied and have fond memories of their vacation in Panama City Beach. We take all of the appropriate measures to ensure our guests satisfaction and are only a telephone call away to address any issues that may occur during their stay, since we live in Panama City Beach. We have had hundreds of guests throughout the years who would be happy to attest to our responsiveness. As this review can attest, not every property is for everyone. The property at Ocean Reef is one of the smaller, more quiet properties on the beach and the amenities are appropriate for the size of the building. We recognize and appreciate that this guest acknowledges that we handled all of their issues as their satisfaction is our number one priority.
