The newly remodeled Brentwood is a mid-century design gem that simply defines the words elegance and class. Located close to the renowned Parker Hotel and bordering the lush Tahquitz golf course, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom property sums up the quintessential essence of Palm Springs.
The broad salt-water swimming pool is readily available as one cools off after a day of hiking or a shopping trip to the nearby strip. Direct access to the Tahquitz Creek Golf Course where guests can call to schedule their own tee time. Plenty of outdoor seating calls for elegant dinners and sunny morning brunches. On colder nights one can warm up by indoor fireplace or outside, next to the cozy fire pit right at the pool and the beautiful Jacuzzi. Chill under the gaze of numerous palm trees that line the ground and enjoy the spectacular desert hill backdrop. We are happy to announce that there is now a privacy hedge in the back yard and pool area! There are still great views but more privacy for our guests.

Another flawless stay with Acme. We had a wonderful week at Acme's Buena Vista House. The house was gorgeous and the grounds were beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, spa and outdoor fireplace and sitting area. This is our third stay with Acme and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Acme is a top-notch company with excellent customer service. We can't wait for our next visit!!!!!
When we first opened the door to this home we thought someone had moved minimalistic furniture into the garage. We were greeted by concrete floors with deep, winding cracks and grooves. In no way was our impression that of a "mid-century design gem that simply defines the words elegance and class" as described in the ad. The cracked floors go all the way through the home, in the kitchen and bathrooms revealing a square pattern that suggested previously installed tile had been removed. Perhaps they were going to replace the floor coverings but decided to wait for this year's rental income first? It's a hard, cold, damaged look that in NO WAY "evokes the clean, authentic and luxurious mid-century Palm Springs feel". The "high end" furniture is uncomfortable (hard); the only really comfortable seats in the house are the pool lounges. The dining chairs are tolerable. But "luxurious" is a laugh. The appliances are in fact high-end, and the kitchen well equipped - with some strange absences like measuring spoons and cups. The master bath toilet area has a definite "Motel 6" feel to it. The closet in the master bedroom was designed with hangers at 7 feet; as a 5 ft 6 inch woman, I had to use another bedroom closet because I couldn't reach the hangers! (What were they thinking?) There are no drawers in the bedroom, only shelving in the closet. Rugs cover a very small portion of the ugly floors and are thin. It's just, well, .....harsh and incomplete.
The pool is GORGEOUS and well heated. The spa works nicely. The yard is beautiful, with a lovely mountain backdrop and multiple fruit trees which we greatly enjoyed. Be warned however: LOTS of golf balls come into the yard. We took our chances and were spared direct hits. The pool is supposed to be cleaned twice a week; we had to call the next to last day to have it done. They did oblige us.
The house is comfortable; and the beds quite reasonable. I had enquired whether there was a garage and was told there was (we like to park our rental car inside), but NOT told that the garage was locked to renters.
We had a nice week; we hiked, we swam, we visited. Our company was all somewhat aghast at the floors and that was embarrassing. If they'd fix this place up it would be wonderful. As is, it is blatantly misrepresented by the ad verbiage. When I called to complain the manager said :"You were expecting luxury?". Not the Hearst Castle, but yes, nice floors and an upscale feel. Especially at the price!
