This modern 1 bedroom, 1 bath is part of an 8 unit historical building that was completely remodeled 5 years ago. The design team received the award for Costa Rica House of the Year for Interior Design for 2010.
It has dark hardwood floors, slate countertops, Bosch appliances and a huge open kitchen and 10 ft high ceilings.
The marble bath bath and glass and wenge wood vanity complete the best way to enjoy your stay in South Beach.
Ipod sound system and flat screen TV for your entertainment. Wifi Internet access. 929 Michigan is right in the middle of South Beach -- walking distance to all the bars, nightclubs, beaches and restaurants, but still located on a quiet residential street.
If you aren't here to play the condo has the easiest access to the causeway to head downtown and to work or to the I-95.

The building is pet friendly and kid friendly.
Flamingo Park: We are 1.5 blocks from Flamingo Park with tennis courts you can play on for a few dollars, a kids water park and regular park -- with a rock climbing wall for kids !! There are two dog parks and countless soccer fields. There are also many bike rental stations that allow you to bike from place to place -- there is no need for a car.
We bought the entire building in 2004 and remodeled it from top to bottom. It was literally rebuilt in place as it was an historic building from 1924. This makes it not your average vacation rental from the Bosch appliances to the hurricane impact windows. We furnished the listing for our personal use so we think that also sets us apart from your average South Beach Rental.
We live in Aspen, CO and come and go from our South Beach Rental. I love that I can WALK ANYWHERE -- and I do. My husband loves that he can take a taxi anywhere on the beach for around $4. Our 7 year old son loves that we can walk to the amazing kids park 1.5 blocks away.
Both my husband and I use the tennis courts that are just 1 block away. The Whole Foods -- 2 blocks away -- is super handy. I love how big the apartment feels -- even though it is a 1 bedroom it has the feeling of space and separate areas. Even though when you are in South Beach you are on the go with so much to do -- the big sectional sofa is nice to come home to and watch some TV.
I tell everyone -- one experience not to be missed is renting a beach chair at the Delano hotel -- 17th Ave and Collins. The best $20 you will ever spend !!! Also order a Nina Fresa (cocktail) as Sushi Samba on Lincoln Road at the corner with Pennsylvania. Email us for more tips or read on !!

Tomas and I have recently moved from Costa Rica to Aspen, Colorado. We lived in South Beach and Coral Gables for 4 years before departing for Costa Rica with our son for 5 years. We have an Argentinian Dogo and a Cane Corso -- big dogs -- that complete our family. Our business is Real Estate Development and we use HomeAway for pleasure (Barcelona, St Tropez, Salt Lake City) as well as a part of our business. The best thing about vacation rentals is the people we meet virtually and for real !!

We fell in love with this building and began to remodel it in 2004 in the middle of Elizabeth's chemotherapy for breast cancer. In February 2014, Elizabeth will reach the 10 year mark cancer free. The building is filled with good Karma -- when we had 5 major hurricane in 18 months, the trees always fell away from the building !! We love it when we stay here. It is an amazing Art Deco 1924 building that we redid down to the bare studs and rebuilt it in place for a year and a half !!
We are on a quiet residential street, but just a 10 minute walk to the Ocean and 8 minutes to bars and nightclubs -- or a $5 can ride if you are in heels !! We are 1.5 blocks from Flamingo Park with the pool and kids pool park, tennis courts, soccer fields and kids park. We are 2 blocks from Whole Foods and 5 blocks from the big Publix. We have a Deco bike station 1/2 a block away !! You don't need a car, but we have parking if you have one !!
What makes our property the most unique is that is was fully remodeled and furnished to be a vacation rental and one that we use ourselves. We skimped on nothing from WiFi to a fully equipped kitchen to mattresses !!
The Apartment was just as it is displayed on the Pictutes. Everything was clean, quiet and comfortable. Such a wonderful place to stay.

The Apt is on the west side and is about 5 minute short walk to Ocean Drive. If you don't mind then this is a good place to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

Wir haben 10 Tage hier verbracht und freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal.
Trotz einiger Kommunikationsprobleme kurz vor Ankunft und minor issues mit der Klimaanlage, haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns fast wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Fotos sind sehr realistisch, nichts wurde geschönt. In der Tat haben uns die hohen Decken besonders gefallen, kennen wir es so von zu Hause. Bisher hatten alle Wohnungen, in denen wir in Florida gewohnt haben sehr niedrige Decken, kleine Fenster und wirkten auf uns eher beklemmend. Hier hingegen konnte man „aufatmen“.
Die Location war für unseren Geschmack perfekt. Wir sind „vegan health nuts“ und waren deshalb froh, einen Whole Foods Market und den Flamingo Park in der Nachbarschaft zu haben. Auch zum Strand sind wir immer zu Fuß gelaufen.
Die Wohnung ist haushaltstechnisch gut ausgestattet. Waschmaschine und Trockner haben gute Dienste geleistet, einen Staubsauger konnten wir uns problemlos ausleihen... sonst wäre es uns in den zehn Tagen doch zu staubig geworden. Ansonsten ist jedoch alles da, was man braucht, wenn man sich selbst verpflegen möchte.
Nach den ersten sehr ruhigen Tagen merkten wir, dass das Haus doch ewas hellhörig, was jedoch nur Thema wird, wenn in einer der Nachbarwohnungen laute Musik läuft oder ein Hund bellt... die Gegend selbst ist dagegen angenehm ruhig und auch sicher.
Elizabeth war von Anfang an sehr kommunikativ. Man musste nie lange auf Antwort warten und man spürt, dass sie möchte, dass sich ihre Gäste wohlfühlen. Ein großes Dankeschön!
For someone with extensive service background like myself, this place easily exceeded my expectations. The location is immaculate in every respect. Only 20 minutes walk to the beach or to the main shopping/dining/partying areas. The place is exactly what is being depicted in the snapshots. Elizabeth is very cooperative and accommodating. She was very effective along with her team in addressing all our concerns. We were so content that we decided to extend our stay by 2 nights with no problems.
We will definitely be back and will pass the word to all our friends!!
I had a great time at Miami and a very pleasant stay at this apt! The apartment is exactly as the pictures. Everything very clean and neat. I traveled with my husband and one year old child. And asked for a crib, nicely provided. The apartment has everything needed to be comfortable. Elisabeth was always very nice and available. I intend to stay at this apartment on my next travel to Miami.
