Spring Break 2015

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home -- would recommend it highly to anyone saying in the Vail Valley. Easy to get to. Spacious. Large kitchen. Only downside is that it is located beyond the Vail bus system, but it is a quick drive to Vail and located blocks from many retail stores. Would highly recommend.

Nice House, but Filthy on Arrival and Totally Unqualified/Unresponsive Management

  • 1 of 5

This is a nice house that is unfortunately totally mismanaged. I feel bad for the property owners. When we arrived, the house was still filthy despite being cleaned. There was hair in the bathrooms, and everything - sheets, towels, kitchen pots/pans/utensils, appliances, and furniture - had a grimy, dirty feel. We called to complain, and Vacasa (the management company) sent over a cleaning crew of two 17 year old boys. They said they had cleaned the place already, and then did a second cursory cleaning (and didn't use any water, so that shows you how well the second cleaning went). They were nice kids, but totally unqualified to clean a 3000 square foot place with four bathrooms and a large kitchen. Vacasa didn't respond when we called again to complain. In addition to the filthy condition of the property, neither fire place worked while we were there, and the hot tub was disgusting and unusable. The bromine floater was empty and the water was cloudy with sediment. I'm really surprised by the top reviews this place has received; maybe our experience was a one-time thing. But if Vacasa still manages this property when you're looking at it, I'd stay away.

Owner's Response: Thank you for sharing your review. We're so sorry to hear that the home was not cleaned to our standards and that the team we sent out did not solve the problem. We will certainly follow up with the local staff to ensure this fantastic home is properly cleaned. This is not a normal occurrence for Vacasa and we do apologize that it affected your stay.

Wonderful, beatiful townhome close to Vail and Bever Creek

  • 5 of 5

We planned a somewhat last minute family ski trip to Vail, and rented this fabulous house. We are a family of 7 (mom+dad, son+wife, son, daughter, daughter) and the layout was perfect.

The things that I was worried about when renting turned out to be big plusses! I was worried about not being right in the middle of Vail, but this location is so convenient to so much. Everything you need is in Avon - ski rental, restaurants, liquor store, WalMart (groceries). It was also nice to be between Vail and Beaver Creek - we skied Vail 2 days, and Beaver Creek one, since the lift tickets are good both places. We parked at Lion's Head for $25/day in Vail, and it is only about a 5 min walk to the lift. The drive to Lion's Head was maybe 10 min.

The townhouse itself is beautiful, and having three floors is wonderful. Upstairs has a beautiful master with gorgeous bathroom, and a second large bedroom with a private bath. There is also a washer/dryer upstairs. The main living/dining/kitchen area is on the main floor, with beautiful marble countertops and a 1/2 bath. Below are 2 more bedrooms, each with a private bath. Also below is a living space where we spent most of our time, with a large TV with surround sound and a gas fireplace. Sliding doors lead to the hot tub which was great for sore muscles at the end of the day. There is also another set of washer/dryers on this level.

Overall, we were very happy with this rental. The finishes are very nice, including Kohler in the bathrooms, and nice appliances in the kitchen. Everything is in very good condition (except the main level fireplace and downstairs mini fridge were not working, which we were informed of prior to our arrival).

If you rent this unit, you won't regret it!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

PERFECT!

We couldn't believe how nice, and how spacious the condo was. The hot tub by the river was amazing, and there was plenty of kitchen and dining space for big group dinners. The place was perfect - and even closer to Vail than we realized.

Thank you! We hope to stay again soon!

Great stay in Avon

  • 5 of 5

We were in town for a race in Beaver Creek. Definitely glad we decided to stay here in Avon. Easily slept 10 people with room to spare. The hot tub was amazing and you just can't beat the river in your backyard lulling you to sleep. Wonderful experience and we will definitely be back next year!

Fantastic mountain weekend

  • 5 of 5

This house was the perfect choice for our mountain weekend. It had everything we needed for a great, relaxing get-away and the views were spectacular!

Between the hot tub and deck overlooking the river we never needed to leave but found tons of fun activities to do when we did. Great place for families and friend's alike!
