Ideal Location But !!! The Owner seems to take very little interest in the condition of property.

The best comments we have to make are the location is ideal, the neighborhood is quiet and clean, and the neighbors are very nice. The pictures of the unit are accurate - inside and out - and the location description is accurate. The unit and the furniture need updating and improving. We would not describe the pool as large and spacious, and there's very little room for sunbathing and there are no lounge chairs. When we arrived on Sun. afternoon, in spite of numerous calls to the owner about our arrival time and date, we found the following: maybe 3 towels (unclean) in the unit and dirty linens on one bed. There were no other towels/linens clean or dirty. There were no hangers and no chest of drawers for our clothes, even though the owner knew we were staying for 5 weeks. The coffepot had not been cleaned (still had old grinds in it and coffee). We called the owner and he brought towels/linens late that evening that he had just purchased but that had not been laundered. Because the washer/dryer at the location are coin operated, we asked him to launder the new items since it would have cost us $2.50/load, and he did. He reluctantly agreed to bring us a chest of drawers and extra lamps since the unit is very dark and there were few lamps in it. He also brought hangers. In terms of cleanliness, this unit was not clean when we arrived - dirty throw rugs, dirty carpet, dirty windows, several old and soiled bed pillows, and trash under one of the beds left from a previous renter. Also, the stopper in the bathtub did not work. We mentioned this to the owner, but he never offered to fix it. We bought a stopper at Walmart. The blinds in the living area did not operate - with the assistance of a nearby handyman, we got them working. Our biggest problem in addition to lack of cleanliness was the lack of hot water. Within 72 hr. period, we had no hot water on 2 occasions. We suspected what the problem was and mentioned it to the owner. Initially, he refused to acknowledge that there was no hot water since it had never happened before. When it happened the 2nd time, he became very defensive and argumentative with us. After we called VRBO about the water problem, the owner finally returned our call and his first comment was "Well, what's your problem today," not "how may I help you." To sum it up, it was clear the owner had not done a walk-thru prior to our arrival to see that everything was clean and in working order. We left the unit cleaner than we found it.

Owner's Response: Sometimes You Just Cant Please Everyone So It Seems, a 5 Star Resort wouldn't had Pleased them. I Go out Of My Way, Above and Beyond to Help Clients, Fulfill Request and to Make People Happy in Any way.... In this Case It was Impossible... Best Of Luck in the Future....
