We are close to the Northville-Lake Placid trail; numerous hiking trails and paddling routes; river rafting on the Hudson River; and alpine and cross-country ski centers. Enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks from this comfortable home--wonderful in any season. 3BR, 2 bath. Sleeps 6. 1 King w/ master bath, 1 bedroom with 1 Queen, 1 bedroom with 2 twins. Located in the central Adirondacks, Blue Mountain Lake is a beautiful small town on Blue Mountain Lake and is surrounded by the Adirondack mountains. Blue Mountain Lake is home to the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts and the Adirondack Museum. Numerous hiking trails, including the Northville-Lake Placid trail, and paddling routes are nearby. Our house a two-minute walk from the public town beach, local boat livery, and other amenities. One hour drive to Lake Placid, Lake George, and Old Forge. Close to alpine ski areas (Gore Mountain, McCauley Mountain, Big Tupper) and nordic ski area (Garnet Hill Lodge).

My family and I were looking for a nice get away from our daily rat race. A quiet place where we could explore nature, and still have some comfort early in the camping season.

I would be hard pressed to find anything to be critical of during our stay. The owners of the property are super helpful, and easy to communicate with. The property itself is beautiful with a wonderful view of Blue Mountain Lake.

If you aim is to Hike, Fish, or simply have some quiet time you would be very hard pressed to find a better place to stay.

Things that can not be stressed enough for potential visitors.

Cell Service is spotty at best ( a real positive for me)

Grocery's need to be planned, the nearest real grocery ( fresh veggies, fresh meat) is about 35 minutes away.

The area is much more beautiful than pictures can show you.

The area is quite, the people are very nice.

All in All we will be making it a point to return here. Hopefully for a fall session.

Wonderful Experience!

We had a perfect stay at this beautiful home in Blue Mountain Lake. The owner had everything clean and ready for us and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities and contacts within the area to make our stay enjoyable. Everything was as described and the owner was very communicative. We hiked, skied, snowboarded, relaxed, played cards, explored, and enjoyed ourselves. They Blue Mountain Lake area is rich with hiking trials and has great access to nearby Adirondack towns. Our favorite ski hill was McCauley. Our favorite restaurant was Indian Lake Restaurant. The owner was set up for recycling and compost, which was very nice. Would recommend to friends and family and look forward to finding time to rent again, myself.
