LUXURY 3 BEDROOM FLAT, VAST TERRACE, SEA VIEW OVER BAY DES ANGES

This is a lovely well-appointed apartment with a fabulous balcony and extensive views to the sea. It is in a quiet area but only 10 minutes by car into town. Beds are comfy and the bathrooms clean. The 3rd bedroom was really only big enough for 1 adult. The kitchen is small with no oven and only 2 rings (inadequate to prepare a meal for 6!) There is a microwave with the ability to grill and bake but no instructions in English.
The swimming pool is excellent but lacks shade around the pool.
We were only given 1 set of keys but another set was provided on request, also the security code for the main entrance.
The apartments are in a residential area and there is no information provided on the location of nearest shops or restaurants. We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday and only through meeting a friendly local did we find a place to eat (he took us in his car!). The nearest small supermarket is up the hill and 10 minutes walk, also up the hill is a daily Pizza van for good take-aways. You need a car if you want to go out in the evening as the bus service from outside the apartments stops at about 7pm. Taxis back from the centre of Nice are not always easy to find and are expensive. You can walk to the sea front in about 45 minutes, where there is also a Carrefour supermarket, but coming back is all uphill. The centre of Nice from there is a 10 minute bus ride away along the Promenade Anglais.
I would recommend the apartment as you can combine sight seeing in the Nice area (with a car) with relaxing days around the pool and on the balcony. An information pack in English would have been useful, but overall the apartment had a French family feel to it which made it very homely! I would stay there again but next time I would avoid high Summer as it was very hot and there is no air conditioning.
