Photos and Description of the South Hero vacation cottage rental
3 bedrooms, 1 bath, with private beach, direct lake access & dock.

Our families and children have enjoyed this summer 'camp' for many years. The beach is sandy and the views of the open and clean bay are A+! We welcome you to enjoy it as well and build your own 'summer camp' memories.

In 2012, all new flooring, ceilings and ceiling fans! Our summer cottage is well maintained and very beloved.

The kitchen is open to the living and dining area (separated by a breakfast bar). The kitchen has all the necessities for cooking and baking; propane gas grill is on the deck for your use and enjoyment! There is an oversized picnic table and a round deck table for your meals; looking out over the Keeler's Bay.

The private beach is mere steps away from the cottage; providing a safe place for children of all ages to play and explore. Sand galore! A dock is provided for your ease in boating, fishing and splashing into the water! A true family gem that is great in the summer or fall!

Amenities: We will provide the following:

5 Kitchen, Hand and Wash Towels.

10 Bath Towels.

Comforter Sets (you provide bed linens/sheets).

Garbage Bags.

Fans (ceiling fans throughout cottage as well).

You bring the sunscreen and beach towels!

South Hero Attractions: There is much to do in the Champlain Islands! Some of the local attractions, include:

* Allenholm Farm -- Farm Animals, Vegetables, Homemade Pies and Apples -- PICK YOUR OWN Apples!

* Allenholm Shop -- Homemade donuts (cider and cinnamon, etc.) and other goodies first thing in the morning

* Snow Farm Vineyard -- Wine Vineyard in the Islands; providing tasting and tours and other activities throughout the season

* Apple Island Golf Course and Barcomb Golf Course -- 9 hole Golf and Executive Golf Course

* Apple Island Marina -- full service Marina, Canoe and Kayak Rentals

* Seb's Snack Bar -- within walking distance (less than 1 mile); best Ice Cream cones known!

Cozy Cottage (Fall Visit)

We had a lovely weekend getaway despite the very mixed weather. Unfortunately, our hopes to kayak were not in the cards. Camp Driftin was a perfect size. Very cozy and well equipped. I hope we left things in good order.

We just got back to our home in Florida two days ago and I've been busy with things like laundry and grocery shopping. The first thing I had wanted to do upon getting on my computer was to write to you and thank you so much for sharing your cottage. We absolutely loved our time there and everyone who came to visit was absolutely impressed. You have an absolutely wonderful place there. I really don't understand how you are able to share it although I'm sure it does help to pay for expenses.

Oh yes, and when you indicated that the kitchen was fully stocked, you sure did mean it. Oh my goodness. Your cottage is better stocked then my house I think. Your oval pan that you keep on top of the shelves worked out so perfectly. We had corn several times while we were there and since I hosted meals for several people I needed to steam a lot of corn. That pan was such a wonderful help! You probably never thought you'd get rave reviews on your pans, but that pan was the biggest help - I wish I had one of my own let me tell you.

The view that you have from that camp is just absolutely glorious. If I could have packed up that view and brought it back with me I would truly be a very very happy person.

We also met your neighbor on the right-hand side of your cottage if you're facing the lake. What a nice lady she is. I didn't get to talk with her a lot, but she seemed like she'd be a wonderful neighbor.

Thanks again for sharing your wonderful Camp Driftin. If we venture to Vermont again, I will certainly hope to be able to stay there again.
