About Charles

I am a retired college professor. My wife and I currently reside in Oklahoma and are happy to share our house with you!

Charles purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Charles chose Red River

My wife and I bought this cabin as 'retreat from the heat'. We loved the convenience of being right on the outside of town and, of course, being right on river.

What makes this cabin unique

All that you need for a relaxing vacation in Red River.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Overall a nice experience

  • 4 of 5

Overall the cabin was great. Comfortable cabin and close to town, and perfect for our family of 6. The river behind the cabin is very soothing to sleep to, and we had frequent wildlife sightings. The owner and the property manger are GREAT!! Management needs to consider adding more toilet paper (we had one roll in each bathroom), and expanding its satellite to include more channels. The "wireless internet" does not work very well, if at all, but that seems to be the case for the entire town of Red River. Those are my only complaints with this cabin, and when I return to Red River, I would consider this cabin again.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed with the cabin. Very comfortable and room for everyone. Eating area was a little small, but we made it work.

We will definitely be back again!

Clean and relaxing retreat

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay and so did our dog! The cabin was very clean and close, but not too close to the activity. I was so impressed with how pet friendly the town was and really enjoyed taking my dog on some of the trails. The enchanted forest dog trail is a must do for dog lovers.

Red River Vacation

  • 4 of 5

The property was very clean and accommodating. The young lady that takes care of the property was very helpful, even helping us get set up to watch the OU football game! She was delightful!! Thank you so much for sharing your property with us. The view was spectacular! We love Red River and vacation there at least once a year. This was our first time to stay in this particular place!

Nice retreat away

  • 4 of 5

It's a nice little place for the summer time. We stayed there three nights. It was a really quiet place, which was really nice! We had two pets with us and it was rather difficult to find patches of grass for them to go potty on, but we managed ok. The cabin itself is well maintained and kept. The ONLY thing was there was NO WiFi AT ALL!! We were told it would should be up again, but it wasn't which made it difficult on the kids. BUT, hey... it didn't kill them to go without it either!!! Overall it is a great place to stay and we would highly recommend it! We loved our time in Red River and we made wonderful memories.

Relaxing, comfortable stay.

  • 4 of 5

The property was very clean and comfortable. Loved the front porch just feet from the steam. Kitchen had all the pots, utensils, and dishes needed for cooking. Enjoyed the beautiful mountains, forests, lakes and streams in the area. The town of Red River had several restaurants and activities with a small town atmosphere.
