Overview

Eastham Lodge Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, outdoor shower, sleeps 8, fenced in yard, dogs welcome

Escape to one of Cape Cod's oldest towns and enjoy the best beaches Cape Cod has to offer. Located in Eastham, this charming Cape sits on a fresh water pond with a spacious fenced in yard and fire pit. Conveniently located within walking distance to the National Sea Shore Conservatory, The Whaling Museum and Cape Cod's bike trail leading directly to Coast Guard beach; voted time and again as one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States. Enjoy the quiet, charming town of Eastham, its rich culture and breath-taking views by spending a week at this centrally located home; an old town feel while still conveniently located to Orleans for a day of shopping. Close in proximity to both the bay beaches such as First Encounter as well as the Atlantic; Coast Guard Beach. A day at the beach is easy as we are located a quarter of a mile from the Coast Guard Shuttle; pack a cooler, park your car and enjoy a shuttle ride to the beach without the hassle of fighting for spaces.

The end of a sun-kissed day...: After a day at the beach, come home to a spacious yard perfect for barbeques and late night fire pits. Relax on the hammock with a book, spend time in the sunroom or take your bicycle for a sunset ride. Looking for an outdoor activity? Grab one of the canoes or kayaks and enjoy some time on the fresh water pond. While cooking at home is easy and convenient, you aren't limited to dining in. There are a variety of restaurants for your choosing. Whether you like seafood, italian, pizza, casual or fine-dining, Eastham has something for everyone. But remember: there is no better way to end your day then a nice outdoor shower. Rinse the salt off while never losing a minute of fresh cape-cod air.

Day trips...: Looking for something to do outside of Eastham? You have plenty of options! Located within a half hour's ride of Provincetown, you can escape on a day trip that will take you back in time. Enjoy all that P-town has to offer with its old New England architecture, love of the arts and breath-taking views. The Wellfleet Drive-In is one town over and never disappoints! Have a love for the arts? Then Cape Cod is a wonderful place to be. Visit Wellfleet Harbor, Chatham or Provincetown and admire the local talent. Visit the Eastham Farmer's Market or the Wellfleet flea market. Drive the windy roads of Truro and experience their beautiful sand dunes. Whale watches are a fun way to experience the Cape Cod waters. See Cape Cod from a different perspective, enjoy the ride and try to spot some whales! Adults and looking for a night out? Check out the musical talent at local venues. The options are endless!

For your convenience...: Whether you are traveling from far away or close by, we understand that there is only so much space in that suitcase or car. That is why we provide as much as we can to make your stay enjoyable. At our home, you will find a fully stocked kitchen of dishes, silverware and glasses. The beds are made, no need to bring sheets or pillows unless you would like to! We provide a number of towels, however, bringing an extra or two can’t hurt. Beach chairs, boogey boards, Kayaks and a canoe are provided for all of your water related activities. Don't worry about having to over-pack as we have a washing machine and dryer right at the house. Our fenced in yard is perfect for dogs, although we ask that only well behaved animals visit our cottage. You will find an assortment of outdoor related games for your enjoyment: whiffle ball, frisbee, soccer balls and more.

A very sweet place to stay

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice time in this lovely home. We are a family of 5, with one extra guest that weekend, and we were very comfortable. It was cool and somewhat rainy when we were there, but I can only imagine how lovely it would be to use the beautiful patio overlooking Minister's Pond in the summer. The house was completely furnished with all we needed (linens, towels, kitchen utensils and appliances). It is right off a main road, which made every amenity nearby. The owner is very helpful and accessible, in case of questions. Overall, a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay there again.

This review is long overdue but worth the wait!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about our stay at this wonderful home in Eastham. We used all of the amenities both inside and out. My favorite was the outdoor shower! We cooked on the grill, had a fire in the pit, ate dinner and played cards in the enclosed sunroom, relaxed in the hammock and soaked up the sun in the yard. And that doesn't even include any of the exploring we did in and around Eastham like beachcombing, fishing, biking and running along the Coast Guard trail, and finding places to eat nearby. Some of our favorites [;aces were Donuts at the Hole in One, afternoon snacks at the Hot Chocolate Sparrow in Orleans, gourmet sandwiches at Sam's Deli, and our favorite place for dinner was just a short drive away at Mac's in Wellfleet. We visited the first week of Sept which was a perfect time. The weather is still beautiful but the Cape is leds crowded. Don't go here take that week though - we want rent this place again!

Can't wait to return.

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful stay, in Eastham, the house is located in a wonderful part of Eastham right off the main road but still has a feeling of seclusion. My stay was during the winter, but we enjoyed every second of it! Matthew does a wonderful job of corresponding and I felt well prepared before I arrived. The house made me feel at home. I can't wait to return some day!

Excellent, great location, perfect!!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very welcoming cottage. Very comfortable, great for families with a pet. This was a perfect cottage with privacy and so very convenient to the beaches. There are no better words to describe it than comfortable and welcoming. It was very clean with all the amenities needed. The owners are terrific to deal with and very considerate. The yard was wonderful and I can only imagine that it would be even better in warmer weather! We love the place. Would definitely rent again...

Great place to stay--even in the offseason!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful place to stay for our vacation in the Cape. It's in a great location, was very clean, and had all we need for our stay. Here's a breakdown of what we found:

Pros:

-The Yard! This property has a great fenced in yard which was perfect for our dog and 2 year old daughter. Plenty of room to roam, a hammock, and outdoor furniture along with a great view of the lake/pond.

-The location. Basically right across the street from the National Seashore visitor center with bike trails, paths, and a ton of information about the area. The staff were very helpful and we left with an armful of trail maps and info. We walked over--you have to cross a busy street, so be careful if you try it. Also, only about 30 minutes to Provincetown and a short drive from Coast Guard and Marconi beaches. Several restaurants in the area include Red Barn (great pizza), Thai, African, and seafood restaurants (Cooke's was open and very good). We ate well on this trip!

-The sunroom-We weren't able to use this much because of the weather, but it was bright and sunny and a good place for meals or to relax.

-The house-The house has all hardwood floors (which is great for someone like me with allergies) and great antique furniture and ocean themed decorations throughout. Some houses we've stayed at overdue it with the knickknacks--every room 8 bowls of shells, every wall 10 different buoys (which isn't great with a toddler around), but this house strikes the right balance. They've done a great job redoing this house (and have left some pictures for you to see the before and after).

-The owner-The owner was very easy to reach by phone or email and very helpful. But, he also wasn't intrusive. Again, a perfect balance.

We had a great time in the rental--even with a blizzard! The description and pictures are accurate. Highly recommended!
