Absolutely perfect!

The owner met us at the house and gave us a quick overview of the place and provided us with lots of local area info. The house was exactly as pictured on website and had everything we needed. Very clean, plenty of closet/storage space, extra towels, etc. The backyard deck/dock area was larger than it looked in the photo. We spent most of our nights in the tiki hut - - watching TV, playing board games, and chatting with the friendly neighbors. We kayaked from the the canal; it took about 2 minutes to get to the open bay to see the amazing sunset.
The owners, Kim and Andy, were so kind and straightforward and easy to work with. They seemed genuinely concerned that we were happy and comfortable. I'd recommend the house to anyone. We are a family of 6, kids ranging from 9-15 years, and had plenty of room for everyone. You could easily walk to the grocery store. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe; neighbors were all incredibly friendly.
House is just a couple miles down the road from Pennekamp, about 35 mins to the Everglades, and less than 2 hours to Key West. Trip highlights: we rented kayaks and fished out of Robbie's in Islamorada. Islamorada Bakery is a must-stop for cinnamon buns. Kayaked and took boat out of Pennekamp to snorkel at Christ-of-the-Deep. Miami Zoo (45 mins away) was fantastic. Everglades Anahinga Trail is a must.
