Affordable spacious home in the historic City of Boston. 2 story single family detached home. 10 mi to downtown,13 mi from Logan Airport . Many period styles combine nicely from the french doors in the Cinderella like Master bedroom leading to the garden to an Eastern influenced sitting room with wood ceilings and hand carved ornamental hardwoods . Private fenced backyard with gas grill, oversized picnic table and easy access to the fully functional kitchen. Located in a typical Boston neighborhood on a tree lined street with it's own driveway. Near many public transportation options. Within a mile of the property: a playground w/sprinklers and slides for the kids, canoe launch, tennis courts, supermarket, drug store, coffee cafe, & McDonalds. A little further, less than 3 mi numerous year round outdoor recreation options in the Blue Hills including ,seasonal downhill & XC Skiing, swimming at Houghton's pond, walking/hiking trails and two public golf courses. Sweet Home Just Ten Miles South Of The City

For starters you won’t find a nicer landlady. Patricia seems to genuinely enjoy providing a place for families to congregate, and is very welcoming and easy going. We rented her home for a large afternoon family affair. It was convenient for folks coming for the day from the Cape, Vermont, Connecticut and the greater Boston area, while also providing four bedrooms for those from farther afield. You will find the home located in a salt of the earth Boston neighborhood. This house is a labor of love. Patricia has been restoring this historic home for many years now, and she has furnished it in a fun, cozy and eclectic style. The home feels quite spacious. It will provide a great home base for you and your family if you come to the Boston area. There is a “T” less than a mile from the house. I am giving it five stars because it is very cool, homey and real, not pretentious or swanky--- We had a great time. Thanks Patricia!

Cozy Home for our Group of 8

This house worked out perfectly for our family reunion this Thanksgiving. Patricia was helpful in every way. She graciously let us get in early, to unload our food from the cooler into the refrigerator. She also offered to buy any special cookware we might need for our Thanksgiving dinner, and even offered to bring over her mother's china and glassware! (We declined her very generous offer, not wanting to risk breaking anything.) The home was cozy, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with beautiful wood floors throughout. Everything was very clean, and there were plenty of nice pillows and fresh fluffy towels. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe.
As for location, it was convenient to a grocery store, pharmacy, and park. It was an easy 10-minute drive to the Forest Hills subway station (Orange Line), where we could park for $6/day and take the subway into Boston. This worked out great.
If we have another family reunion in Boston, we will definitely stay here again. Everyone in our party was happy with this house.

Made our weekend the bect!

Spent a weekend with a huge group of friends, and it was the perfect setting for our bonding sessions and late-night singing parties. Not only was the house great, but the landlord is helpful, sweet, and an understanding person. She even assisted one of us on our way out when she had car trouble, even giving her an extra jumper cable.
So everything about this place, from the house, to who we rented it from, to what happened within it was nothing short of perfection.
