Four friends vacation at the cottage!

I stayed at the cottage with some friends Friday through Monday, it was a blast! The best part about staying in a cottage at Crystal Mountain is that there is a million things to do. You're never bored! The resort is full of fun things to do in the summer: mountain biking, hiking, going down the mountain slide, spending a day at the pool, rock climbing, tennis, golf and more. But there's also great day trips to take within short distance of Crystal Mountain. My friends and I drove half an hour to Frankfort to eat dinner and go to the beautiful beach on Lake Michigan. We also went to Empire (a very quaint village) and swam in the beach and went in shops. Near Empire is a place to rent canoes, kayaks and tubes which you can take down the Platte River. It is a very fun excursion and the river dumps you in Lake Michigan. My friends and I went canoeing in the river, then ate dinner in Empire and headed to the Sleeping Bear Dunes (also close to Empire) to stargaze. We had so much fun at the cottage (even though we really only slept there). My friends were amazed at how spacious and comfortable it was. They also enjoyed exploring the surrounding woodsy grounds. This is a wonderful cottage to go to up north because there is so much to do and still you can relax and be away from your daily routine. I highly recommend this cottage, it's the best!
