Good Morning Ghassan:
We must thank you for a beautful and comfortable apt. Pictures do not do the apt justice. I met with Allen's cousin upon arrival to drop of our luggage.. Returning back that evening, to our surprise, was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses for us. The apt was immaculate, comfortable and had a warm feeling about it. It was truly a great experience. We however were delayed in London and are now home safe with our family.
Again, I thank you for all your kindness. As soon as I get settled I will place a review on your web site.
Location, elevator, roomy, amenities, owner support, all the pluses; with no negatives will make us return to this apartment. We've stayed in a number of HomeAway properties in Europe and this is the best yet!
We have rented from the owners of this apartment before and have stayed at both of their properties in Paris. We do so not only because of the well-appointed apartments in convenient locations in Paris but also because of the fabulous service the owners provide during the pre-rental process and once the rental period has commenced. We recently returned from a wonderful stay in Paris. Our relatives stayed at this apartment in the 8th and we stayed at the owners' other apartment in the 1st. Our most recent trip was centered around a special celebration, and the owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a terrific stay; they even altered their usual plans to stay at one of their Paris apartments during the time we were going to be in Paris so that both apartments would be available for our stay.
Both apartments (this one and the one close to the Louvre and the Tuileries in the 1st) are in terrific locations. Stay at this apartment and you are just a few steps away from the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe and a beautiful walk away from the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. The apartments are gorgeous. They are clean, spacious, comfortable, quiet, and feature modern amenities. The details upon arrival are fantastic too. The owners ensure that fresh flowers and a bottle of wine are waiting on the dining room table for you, and the local property manager (who is very accommodating) will meet you once you arrive to show you around the apartment. I cannot recommend these apartments enough, and working with the owners to arrange all of the details could not be a more pleasant process.
This is the first time we ever tried to rent an apartment instead of staying at a hotel and I was nervous. We narrowed our search to a location close to the Champs d'Elysees and my favorite monument in the whole world, the Arc d'Triomphe. This apartment fit all of our criteria and more. My first contact with Mr. Ghassan Khoory, the owner, set me at ease. He communicated often and also provided us with a list of must places to see and restaurant suggestions. All were spot on. We were also given great directions on how to arrive at the apartment and who we would meet. Mr. Khoory even called us from the USA to check on our stay!
Alan was there to meet us and from the first, the apartment was more than advertised. The layout and location were fantastic and we felt at home immediately!
The apartment was in move in condition, very clean and well maintained. Alan met us to make sure that all of our questions about the apartment were answered and we were properly settled in. When I called him with a few questions, he answered immediately .
So we arrived rather late the first night and went down for a nap. I awoke at 2:00 am hungry and searched for food. Around the block and I was on the Champs d'elysees and in front of a Pizza Pino open for business. Just the right thing to eat at 2:00 am. I ate one there and took one to go for my wife. Point was that the neighborhood was extremely safe to walk around, even in the middle of the night. The next day we were ready to go!
There is nothing to dislike in Paris. Just walking the streets and sampling the bakeries, cheese shops, sidewalk cafes, and of course Eric Kaiser, which is down the street from the apartment while going from site to site are priceless. My wife called it "walking around aimlessly." But that is the best way to be in Paris! And this apartment was a great launching point to do exactly that. Fresh food every morning, a small grocery store two doors down, and a Monoprix [grocery] right around the corner were pluses. On the other corner, crepes!
Bottom line, this the place for a mature couple to stay while in Paris. Ghassan provided great customer service as did his folks on the ground. I would not recommend it on the days that we would like to come back but highly recommend it when we are not there. I am sure that his other apartment near the Louvre is as well maintained. I am buying this place if he ever sells it!
We had a perfect visit to Paris staying in this apartment. Ghassan was the ultimate professional, very responsive to my inquiries by email. Everything went smoothly with regard to payment, deposit, check-in and check-out. Unbelievable value, as it would have cost us twice as much to stay in two rooms in a hotel, and yet I felt that it was nicer than any place we could have stayed.
The apartment's open floor plan was spacious (for Paris) and had every amenity that we could have wanted. It was light and bright from many windows, and though it was in the 8th arrondissement, it was quite quiet on the sixth floor. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. The decor was modern yet seemed Parisian which helped make our trip feel authentic! The kitchen was great -- having two small kids with us, we were able to make quick meals and keep some groceries in the fridge.
We found the apartment to be reasonably child-proof (we moved a couple of breakables), with my favourite amenity being the modern-style beds -- no sharp corners and low to the floor in case of a tumble off the bed. Dishwasher, washing machine, air conditioning... all unexpected but a welcome treat during our stay. A grocery store downstairs and a larger supermarket just a few minutes' walk away were also very convenient. Handy to public transit; several metro stops are a short walk away. I found the apartment to be very safe and secure.
Many thanks again for a lovely stay; we would come back in a heartbeat, or stay at the Louvre apartment location without a moment's hesitation!
My husband, our teenage daughters and I couldn't have been happier. The apartment was perfectly situated for tourist sites, but still had a local neighborly feel to it. It was clean and had all amenities. My entire experience with the owner went well and I was glad I used the homeaway site.
Thanks for everything!
Situated in a beautiful stone building, this tastefully decorated one bedroom apartment is located in one of Paris most desirable arrondissement. The apartment is centrally located within minutes to the must-see places of Paris. The street runs parallel to the world most famous Avenue, The Champs Elysees, in a lively area with many restaurants, grocery stores, sandwich shops and supermarket. The apartment is on the sixth floor facing the courtyard, which makes it quiet and peaceful. The elevator takes you to the fifth floor, followed by a set of stairs. There are many Metro stations and parks around. The river Seine is few minutes walk across the Champs Elysees, and Avenue George the 5th is close by.
