The Marigny, two blocks outside of the French Quarter. It sleeps 8 - 10 pp. (3 night minimum)

This home is conveniently located to Frenchmen Street. The trendy area that has been where the locals party but is now the newest entertainment attraction in addition to the Frenchquarter for tourist. Great jazz clubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and street musicians. It is also centrally located, one block off Bourbon Street and walking distance to all of the French Quarter spots.

This lovely home offers a living room and family room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms with a small kitchen, and a larger kitchen that opens up to the family room and dining room. The family room also opens up to the courtyard.

Courtyard and Patio: Enjoy a morning coffee or a glass a wine in the evenings in the courtyard. You can sometimes hear the entertainment from The Marigny or the French Quarter from the patio or courtyard.

Trolly near the French Market: In a short 10 minute walk to the French Market, you can shop, or cross the street to take the trolley for longer distances to shopping in the Quarter, on Canal Street, at the Canal Place Mall or the Riverwalk Shops. The Acquarium, Theatres, Antique Stores, Jackson Brewery, Beignets at Cafe du Monde, fabulous tours are all within a short walk or trolley ride from our home.

The neighborhood is very welcoming and friendly. Ask any neighbor for directions, their fav restaurants or anything you would like to know about New Orleans and they will gladly accommodate you.

There is a chef in the neighborhood that may even be willing to prepare a great New Orleans meal for dining in for a nominal fee.

Wonderful Home!

We loved the Bouligny House. It is a beautiful home within walking distance of the Bourbon Street amenities and very close to Frenchman's. Our group of 8 was very comfortable in the space and had a fabulous time together in the open kitchen living room area. The house is well stocked for cooking and cocktails. Highly recommend this property - Pat is great to deal with too which is an added benefit.

A group of 3 couples just returned from NO after visiting for NYE. This was our first visit. We all enjoy staying in a home vs a hotel. Found this house and booked it. We did not go wrong. Each couple had their own private bedroom and bathroom. We could all hang together in the living room to talk and laugh about the day. The house is beautiful especially the patio. Pat was so easy to work with. And Pamela was so sweet while we were there. This house is in a great location. Close to everything. We definitely will be back

Our group of 6 women vacationed in New Orleans in November and this was a “first-time for everything” trip. None of us had been to New Orleans nor rented a house rather than staying in a hotel. Because it was a new city, we wanted a lodging option that would allow us to always be together for convenience. We fell in love with the layout of The Bouligny house, along with the pictures that barely do justice to its excellent maintenance. The home owner responded to every e-mail inquiry we had to ease our hesitation of renting her home, no matter how simple it was. The property manager was extremely helpful when we all arrived and available for questions about the house and city while we were there. Size-wise, we all perfectly fit into the house ideally and had more than enough space. Compared to a hotel, we had sufficient linen, bathrooms, mirrors, seating space, dining space, and anything else you could think of. Throughout our entire trip, we walked to and from the house at all times of the day and night. The location was prime and the neighbor is safe and quiet. Whenever any of us visits New Orleans again (soon), we won’t consider staying anywhere else but The Bouligny House. Thank you for making our experience memorable and comfortable.

I stayed in a party with 3 adult couples this past Fourth of July weekend. When you initially pull up to the house it appears very average and small. However once you step inside you are absolutely amazed at how spacious and beautiful the place is. The home came equipped with all the comforts of home, from linen to dishes and cookware. Pat Bouligny the owner is available at all times of the day and night to answer your questions before your check in, and then Pam is there to answer your questions during your stay. The house is located a short walk from the French Quarter so there is no need for driving once you arrive. Best of all the price that was quoted on my contract was the price that I actually paid, there were no hidden costs or surprise fees after check in. We cant wait to come back next year.

We, a party of four adults, stayed here for a week in late May. The Bouligny House is not the place for people who demand "cookie cutter" rooms in a hotel with a grand lobby and immediate access to a McDonalds and a Pizza Hut. The Bouligny House is for the wayfarer and experienced traveler who seeks out what is unique. To that experienced traveler the house is a rare treat and an exceptional value.
The home is almost a century and a half old, and the exterior has been preserved in its heritage as a "cajun cottage". On the inside Pat Bouligny, the charming owner, has completely remodeled the entire facility. There are two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and two bathrooms one of which has the old cast iron tub which is great for a soak esecially when accompanied by your favorite wine. There is a living room with a flat screen TV and wi-fi, a dining room, and a very well equipped modern kitchen. The backyard has been made over to a beautiful garden patio often visited by colorful butterflies and birds. We all enjoyed sitting there in the early evening with our favorite libation.
The immediate neighborhood is roughly two blocks from the French Quarter. Its lacks the Quarters noise and the unplesantries of rowdy drunks. Neighbors respect each other here and things are quiet after 10pm. People in the area are friendly and never miss a chance to reccomend places to visit.
Within walking distance there is a sizable number of really good resturants which are less expensive and just as good as thier counterparts in the French Quarter.
If you choose a local area tour we found that most companies would pick us up for no additional cost. Parking is a breeze and our car was never more than 50 feet away from the house.
We all reccomend the Bouligny House without reservation and will be returning ourselves to this enchanting and delightful home.
