Enjoy some of the most amazing sunsets that Costa Rica has to offer from the pool deck. The breathtaking ocean view and surrounding rain forest make this the perfect place to “just be” and take in the beauty and tranquility of this incredible country. The main house features 3500 square feet with all the modern amenities along with the privacy of a gated private residence. To put the icing on the cake there is also an 1100 square foot guest house fully self contained.
At an elevation of 950 feet, it receives a constant ocean breeze. Casa Tanglewood has daily visits from toucans, colorful parrots and a myriad of other birds. You can enjoy their song while you sit under the palapas enjoying a glass of wine while you wait for dinner.
Looking out to the ocean from the kitchen are double patio doors leading to the large infinity edge swimming pool. Under the palapas is a large informal sitting area with a dining table for 8. Around the large infinity pool there are chaise lounges and sun tanning area. This offers the ideal location... the Pacific Ocean straight in front of you with year around sunsets and on either side the seclusion of the rain forest. One of my favorite things to do is have an early morning coffee in the courtyard next to the pepper bush, cinnamon tree and the orchids.
This beautiful Spanish style house is also accompanied by a quaint Villa with king size bed, single pull out sofa, living area, kitchen, outdoor seating area overlooking the valley, the lower floor has a queen sized pull out hideaway bed and two twin beds. Each floor has a washroom and there is even an outdoor shower on the lower floor.
Casa Tanglewood was purchased by myself and a couple of friends in 2010 to fulfill a lifelong dream of providing an amazing home for travellers to enjoy.
