We had a lovely vacation and very much enjoyed the property. For us, the highlights of the home were the central location and the spectacular design. Although there are some true beach-front properties available at this price point, and also properties with full-size pools, this stunning, new property allows easy access to all of the island's best beaches and restaurants, with design details, quality of the finishes, and overall visual appeal similar to a 5-star resort like Viceroy.
We are long-time anguilla visitors, and like going to a different beach every day anyway, so, for us, the property was perfect, and very comfortable for our group of 8. We tend to favor the beaches and restaurants on the west end of the Island, with less frequent trips to Shoal Bay East and Island Harbor, so location and proximity to the valley were also great. As we are all tennis players, the fact that the villa was less than 5 minutes from the new anguilla Tennis academy was a big plus. It is a good, modern facility, and happily caters to visitors. Michelle, the villa manager, could not have been more charming or more helpful; she was just great, as was the housekeeper. So, really, a very happy experience at Lockrum West, which is as beautiful as the pictures indicate.
