Comfortable well equipped British owned, self catering apartment, located in Egyptian Experience resort (winner of CNBC best development in Egypt award) at Nabq, Sharm el Sheikh. Accommodates 4 (plus 2 on sofa bed). The standard of furnishing and equipment is better than the average holiday let as the apartment has been previously used as our home whilst working in Sharm. The accommodation consists of: Bedroom 1 with kingsize bed, TV, DVD player, air conditioning, patio door to balcony, sea views from the bedroom & balcony. Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds, air conditioning, TV and DVD player, view across the main pool & landscaped gardens. Living room with air conditioning, sofa bed, 2 arm chairs, satellite box, HD TV, HD DVD player, surround sound system (adaptable for Ipod), Patio door to balcony. Well equipped dining kitchen, bathroom with washing machine and bath with shower over. The helpful resort staff speak English. Local beach resorts are accessible for a small daily charge.

The Egyptian Experience resort is located in the Nabq area of the Sharm el Sheikh tourist resorts on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba arm of the Red sea. Close by are the mountains of the Sinai peninsula, the fabulous reefs and wild desert areas of Ras Mohammed national park and Nabq protected area. Cairo with the river Nile and Pyramids is only a 45 minute flight, Luxor with Nile cruise ships and ancient temples is 30 minutes by air. The diving resort of Dahab is a 1 hour drive, St Catherines monastery with its links to early Christianity is 3 hours by road. Sharm el Sheikh is the showpiece tourist resort of Egypt. It has a sub tropical desert climate with little rain, mostly the weather is hot and sunny, and warm enough to sunbathe during the winter months. The sea is warm and unpolluted,the diving and snorkelling is world renowned. The area of Nabq is an upmarket tourist area with good shops and restaurants. Naama Bay with its exciting night life is only 20 min by bus (fare 50p).

  • Both bedrooms have remote controlled air conditioning units with fresh air selectors, variable speed ceiling fans, DVD players and flat screen TVs. Storage in a wardrobe and drawers under the bed, dressing table, mirrors, and bed lights. Bed 1 has patio doors to the balcony and views of the sea and swimming pool. Bed 2 has a large window overlooking the main swimming pool and with distant glimpses of the mountains. Both bedroom windows/ patio doors have fly screens. The bed settee in the living room makes an additional comfortable double bed if accommodation is required for 6 persons, one of the arm chairs in the living room can be extended to make a child bed. Cots are normally available for a small charge directly from Egyptian Experience. A hair dryer is also included. Bedding is provided, duvets on beds and luxury blankets for sofa bed. Although the balcony has a safety railing, it may be hazardous for very young active children.

Notes: The apartment is strictly no smoking, but smoking is acceptable on the balcony where there are comfortable rattan armchairs and sofa. The apartment is on the first floor, the staff will help with bags but there are no lifts. High speed Internet and computer access is in the main office at a charge of about £1 per hour. There are 5 communal swimming pools with children's pools, sun beds, sun umbrellas. There is a good quality 18 gear bicycle with carrying basket included with the apartment at an extra cost of £10 per week or part week. There is a small shop selling essentials, and a pool snack bar serving a variety of food and drinks including breakfast and a light lunch, (pay as you go in cash Egyptian pounds). Services normally provided by Egyptian Experience: The Egyptian Experience Resort (EE) provides numerous facilities for guests renting private properties. The pricing is set by EE, and is not under the owner's control. The prices quoted below are believed correct from 1st January 2009, but should be confirmed with EE on arrival. Payment for EE resort facilities is made at the resort direct to EE.(Prices in English pounds) EE facilities: Laundry. Daily clean of floors £13 per week; one off clean of floors £7 ; daily clean of floors, bath, and beds made £23 per week. Cot hire £10 per week. Transfer to/from airport (each way £11 to £23 depending on number of persons and cases and time of day/night). Welcome pack (recommended) including 12 bottles water, 2 toilet rolls, kitchen roll, tea, coffee, sugar,1litre Milk, butter, Juice, Cleaning sponge, soap, 4 bread rolls, Loaf, 6 Eggs, washing up liquid £14 Many excursions. Transport to beaches, and entry tickets to other resorts. More information available by email.

Electricity and water: The electricity and water is metered, and will be charged for by Egyptian Experience on departure in Egyptian pounds. An approximate price would be about £20 for a week but will of course depend on consumption. The Egyptian Experience staff are very helpful and if asked will give you an indication of your usage part way through your visit. Payment is to Egyptian Experience on the day of departure, the unit charge to guests is the same as the owners pay and is not under the control of the owner.

There is a championship golf course in Sharm el Sheikh about 5 miles away, and another golf course under construction about 1 mile away which may be finished by the summer of 2008.

Other Activities: quad bike or camel safaris in desert, snorkeling, kite surfing, tours available.

Best ever stay in Egypt

I stayed here with my family ( girlfriend and 3 children ) for the whole of July.Where do i start ? Firstly the flat was super and had everything we required,the rental process with Mike and Shairon was first class and very straightforward.This was my fourth time in Egypt and the best by far.I usually go all inclusive but having done the rental and self catering thing would never go back to a hotel.My children had an absolutely brilliant time and this was due to having a lot of space and freedom within the complex also the safety factor was brilliant with very helpful and attentive staff,not forgetting the super little poolside bar..fantastic for food and drinks,I could not recommend this resort highly enough,in fact I had such a super time I bought one of the remaining apartments that was for sale ! There can be no better recommendation from myself other than for a relaxing,chilled out holiday The Egyptian Experience ticks all the boxes and then some ...a credit to the owners/developers and all staff involved...p.s...Mike and Shairon...thank you !

Myself and my family spent two amazing weeks at the apartments.When we arrived we we taken back by the sheer beauty of the complex.We had a choice of no less than 3 pools the grounds were maintained to a very high standard.
The apartment was decorated to a high standard aswell as having a own private balcony looking on to another pool.
Great things to see and do in the surrounding areas.ONE NOT TO BE MISSED..........
