Excellent holiday location lying in the middle of recently concluded Olympic equestrian events. The location is very quiet and romantic but just a 5 mins walk to the epicentre of Greenwich which is a vibrant Historic centre where you find an array of eateries, shops, pubs & cinema. Countless number of departmental stores for all your groceries to help with your self-catering. Walking distance to 5 different rail/tube/DLR Metro stations including Maze Hill station for Maritime Museum and North Greenwich tube station. Average journey time of about 15 mins to London Bridge. Excellent Bus network both day & night. Few stops away is the o2 entertainment arena (walk if preferred). Local stations are in London travel zones 2 or 3

It is well located within very easy reach of a vast range of venues (including Excel exhibition centre, O2 entertainment centre etc) and attractions (Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum, etc)

Features good size garden excellent for summer. Has it's own private parking which is a rear find in the area of London which has a great deal of history and very popular with tourists and locals.

Greenwich 'proper' is one of the safest locations in the South of London and was the seat of the Royal family years ago before the move from old Queen's house in Greenwich to Buckingham palace.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our recent two week stay in this house. We also stayed here for 10 days last year. The unit is on a quiet residential street with very little traffic. We felt safe walking to and from this house, even at night. It is a spacious unit with the main bedroom being quite large. The kitchen and bathroom are big compared to many in England. We have stayed at several flats in London that are squishy and often near noisy roads, and appreciated the comforts of Greenwich. It was very clean and the owner was quite helpful. She suggested using PayPal for our security deposit and this ended up being a great benefit, as no fees were paid. We also appreciated the three local markets within a 5 minute walk of the unit. Many evenings, after hopping off the bus we would pop into the market to pick up the items we needed. A large Sainsbury was a 5 minute bus ride away. Also, it was very easy to take the bus to North Greenwich station and catch the tube to London. Our family enjoyed coming back to a comfortable, quiet, pleasant home after a day of sight-seeing in the city.

Rapport qualité prix laissant à désirer...

La maison est très bien située, près de tous les transports en commun et des commerces. Greenwich est une petite ville très agréable et très animée. Beaucoup de choses sont à faire à Greenwich.
La maison est équipée pour 6 personnes maximum, si 2 dorment dans un canapé lit en 120cm. Elle manque d'entretien, le jardin est laissé à l'abandon, le barbecue rouillé complètement et la table en bois dehors s'écroule parmi les herbes folles.
A l'intérieur, la moquette de l'escalier se décolle et cela est très dangereux. Le lave vaisselle était en panne (déjà avant notre arrivée...) et nous avons eu une fuite d'eau très dangereuse car tombant sur de l'électricité ! Les interventions promises de réparation n'ont pas eu lieu (malgré le danger signalé) en 15 jours malgré nos demandes, beaucoup de promesses de faites cependant de la part des propriétaires. "low allergen"...oui, si vous supportez la moquette très épaisse et les double-rideaux...Au niveau des serviettes de toilette, c'est 1 par personne, ce qui est vraiment juste ! Le ménage est approximatif en dépit de la somme demandée. Organisez seuls votre arrivée car cela vous évitera un taxi très en retard (plus d'1 heure), fort peu aimable, inconfortable et cher. Nous avons réservé un taxi nous même pour le retour et avons payé presque 20 £ de moins pour un service impeccable.
Nous dirons donc que le rapport qualité/prix n'y est pas, c'est dommange car la maison a un fort potentiel. Il est évident à la lecture des commentaires qu'elle se dégrade mais pas les prix...Cette opinion étant partagée par les autres locataires laissant des messages dans la maison mais pas forcement sur le site.
Nous avons donc été déçus par rapport aux photos et descriptif fait sur ce site, cela étant heureusement compensé par la situation.

Owner's Response: Excuses que guest était malheureux après ce séjour, malgré une communication régulière. Devinez la cause principale est une gorgée d'eau intermittent signalé par une partie du produit d'étanchéité entre la baignoire et la baignade, tout en carreaux - environ à mi-chemin dans le séjour. Workman a été organisée pour voir le problème le lendemain et les invités dit d'attendre son appel. Workman, appelé mais dit pas de réponse. Lave-vaisselle cassée bouton de sélection des clients précédents et a dû être re-commandé. Ingénieur ne peut fixer la partie une fois disponibles. Tous les câblages, l'ameublement, les appareils sont à moins de deux ans et étaient tous en bonne état de marche, sauf pour la lave-vaisselle qui avait cassé le bouton de sélection. Cette maison n'a pas affliation que ce soit avec le service de taxi qui a remporté l'invité de l'aéroport et qu'ils frais pour le stationnement de l'aéroport avec un taux en fonction de la façon dont vous arrivez en retard au-delà de votre temps de réunion - avec la chute de l'aéroport de vous ne payez pas la redevance de stationnement en plus. Toutes les observations constructives sont revisités. Quant aux commentaires sur le taux / Rapport qualité / prix pour cette maison en Premier London Greenwich endroit, malgré le rabais accordé pour ce séjour particulier, vous pouvez comparer et faire votre propre opinion.

A very pleasent experience!

I rented this place for 20 days over christmas period. The owner is very helpful lady. Property is neat, clean and well-maintained. Good neighbourhood (no worries even if coming home late night).
We were a family of four but I must say the house is pretty decent for 6 people. Definitly will book the same place for our next holiday.

Nice, quiet location close to shops and pubs

I rented the house on behalf of some overseas visitors (who do not speak English hence my review). The house is in a quiet street very close to local shops and the Cutty Sark pub (5 mins) and the Thames Pathway into Greenwich. Bus stops are very close and my visitors found the bus 188 into central London the most convenient way of getting around, though N. Greenwich and Cutty Sark tubes are also close, as well as having the Maze Hill option.

House itself was fine. Perhaps more suited to 4 people ... my group was 5 adults plus a child, so one person used the sofa bed downstairs which made it smaller that it really was. Good appliances, nice garden and importantly a quiet, peaceful location. You could not really be closer to the river.

A great location for tourists, as Greenwich itself has so much to offer. I would definitely use this house again if we had a group of visitors.

Finally, the owner provided an airport to house service which was above and beyond, given that they arrived at Stansted past midnight and didn't get their luggage until 2am!

We found the owner provided great customer service, we had an issue with the heating and she got back to us straight away. Very convenient to catch a bus to the tube buses regular (even on weekend). A short bus ride to the ferry and also to greater Greenwich. House a good size for our family of 5.
