This lovely home is located on a private 1.5 acre lot with stunning views of the marsh and famous Sandwich Boardwalk.You can walk to Sandwich Beach in less than 10 minutes. The house has 2 large bedrooms, both with A/C, 2 baths and a new queen size sofa sleeper in the new finished basement. The latter provides a cool respite from the summer heat and includes a 16' bar, pool table, flat screen TV, electric fireplace and treadmill. There you will also find the convenience of a second refrigerator, washer/dryer and sink and toilet. The spacious and private yard includes an outdoor shower, deck with gas grill and plenty of room for croquet, softball, bocce ball or any other activities you care to pursue. Launch a kayak into the marsh from the back yard and paddle out to Cape Cod Bay; ride your bike along the Cape Cod Canal which is just minutes away; have a picnic at any of the easily accessible trails, or watch the local fishermen bringing in their daily haul of cod and haddock.

Explore historic Sandwich Village on foot. It's only 1/2 mile from the house. Enjoy a leisurely gourmet lunch or dinner at the beautifully restored Belfry Inn and Bistro and make sure you stop in at the historic Daniel Webster Inn for a pint. It's a fun place with good food and it's a favorite for the locals. Captain Scott's Restaurant on Tupper Rd. always has good fresh fish, good prices and friendly waitresses. The best breakfast in Sandwich by far can be had at Marshland on Rte. 6A. Be prepared for a wait, but it's worth it. If you are into antiques, you will be in heaven as you drive down the winding and bucolic 6A toward Barnstable, Brewster, and Provincetown, as there are oodles of gift shops and antique stores along the way, as well as gorgeous old estates that you won't find anywhere else in the U.S. Folks are friendly and more than willing to share historical facts with you. If you've never visited the Cape (as the locals call it), you will be amazed. And, you will fall in love with the place.

This lovely, secluded home is located off a private drive and sits on 1.5 acres overlooking the marsh and famous Sandwich Board Walk. It is situated in an historical section of Sandwich, the oldest town on Cape Cod. You can reach the Boardwalk and beach with an easy 10 minute walk. When you've had enough sun and surf, explore the quaint, charming village of Sandwich, Shawme Pond, Dexter's Grist Mill, the Sandwich Glass Museum, the Daniel Webster Inn and more. Beautifully maintained homes built in the 1700's line the narrow streets and remind us of how life was back then. Take a scenic drive down historical Rte. 6A on your way to Provincetown, the tip of the Cape, where the Pilgrims first landed before heading back to Plymouth. Travel to Hyannis and hop a ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket Island, both famous vacation destinations for past and present U.S. Presidents. Or take a whale watching cruise and observe pods of humpback whales frolicking in the sea. Deep sea fishing, golf and bike riding along the Cape Cod Canal are all just minutes away. Freshly caught lobsters, clams, oysters and delectable fish abound at most restaurants in town and up and down the Cape. There is so much to see and do, you'll have a hard time fitting it all into one week.

We all had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and we loved Sandwich. The use of the bikes and kayaks was just icing on the cake. Would love to come back someday.

My husband, 2 little boys and I, LOVED living on the salt marsh for a week, watching the tides come in and go out, observing the cranes fish for their meals and seeing the kayakers floating by. The home was spacious and comfortable and the views CAN NOT be beaten. While the boardwalk/beach was a bit too far for us to walk to with our 2 little boys, the parking lot was free after 3:30 and there was a perfect little area for the kids to swim and crab hunt at high tide that was not part of the rocky ocean beach. The owner's brother lives next door and was very helpful with a few little issues we had.

Really hope we get to go back their some day. A little bit more than some of the other places we looked at but the view was absolutely worth it!
