Idyllic Holiday Retreat - Luxury, Seclusion & Ocean Views

While the description of the layout and amenities was accurate enough, if one doesn't know Phuket at all - like us - the actual location can reserve surprises, yet in this case the location for us was an absolute hit! Beaches abound around Phuket island, yet virtually all are overcrowded and noisy, really not our scene. Here, a mere 200m from the house, one finds a beautiful quiet beach allowing for nice walks and swims and another beach, less than 10 minutes walking away, offers similar nice walks (less fit for swimming because more rocky at low tide) plus some easy-going beach bars and restaurants to indulge in genuine Thai food. The appartment (really more of a town house) is spacious, rather well-fitted and clean (3x/week) and offers a heaven of peace and relaxation, laced with cooling dips in the pool . Khun Meen, the care-taker, goes out of his way to solve whatever minor issue may arrise in a speedy and efficient manner, including the car rental, which we recommend. Cape Panwa and Phuket Town are within easy reach for shopping and wining & dining, but so are a number of small local markets where fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and Thai dishes are on offer every day. Each trip to other parts of Phuket island confirmed how lucky we had been with our choice of location.
If one is in search of a quiet, relaxing holiday to escape from the dark and cold European winters and to 'tank up some sun', then we can strongly recommend this very nice rental..
And yes, in all likelihood, we will return and that says it all...

The perfect holiday destination is determined by meeting certain criteria BUT what if you could have EVERYTHING you wanted and so much more.... the perfect mix of hotel luxury and setting, comfort and privacy of a home, waking to roosters and bird song but a stone's throw from restaurants, shopping and pampering.... provided with excellent customer service and genuine Thai hospitality..... this retreat is PERFECT!
Photographs and descriptions of the home were completely accurate but do not prepare you for the amazing views from the main bedroom and poolside .... this surpassed all our expectations! The home and contents are kept in immaculate condition and the fact that it is serviced three days a week, makes for a worry free, work free relaxing stay! The spacious and excellently equipped kitchen has everything necessary to prepare excellent meals, even for the serious cook ..... that is when the many restaurants in the area are not on the agenda!
We arrived late in the evening and arrived to find that a few groceries had been provided and flowers beautifully arranged throughout the house..... a real welcome after a long flight!
What makes this retreat a real gem is the fact that it is very conveniently located in Panwa i.e. 15 minutes from large shopping malls, 20 minutes from Chalong Bay from where many tours operate, 15 minutes from Old Phuket town, 5 minutes from the Aquarium, hotels, restaurants, cafes ... and if you are a little adventurous you can even arrange your own trip to Coral Island from Panwa, negotiating a price with a local. Our favourite restaurant is Sawasdee which is on the beachfront in Panwa......
We have and will continue to recommend this property to friends and relatives as we think it provides the PERFECT balance of luxury, privacy, convenience, location, relaxation and accessability and the proof of this is that we have stayed here twice and have booked our third time ..... all over a period of 7 years .... proving it suites families with children of all ages!
