Ours is a charming historic private waterfront home in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Enter through a luxurious garden filled with fruit trees, tropicals, and orchids. Filled with art and antiques and light, both second story studios catch our fresh ocean breezes. In Tarasita Cottage, the spacious high ceilinged main room has more windows than walls, and a full kitchen, full bath, and walk-in closet. The roof deck, with comfortable chairs and umbrellas, is perfect for reading and relaxing outside. Taralago Suite is very similar except that it does not have an oven, and has a large private deck overlooking the Intracoastal/Lake Worth. OUR CALENDAR MAY ONLY REFLECT BOOKINGS FOR ONE OF THESE ACCOMMODATIONS, SO PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK WITH US DIRECTLY FOR AVAILABILITY. This is a wonderful retreat place, but still close to everything! Walking and biking are popular in the neighborhood and one can do either to reach downtown amenities or the beach. Kayak off our private beach. Watch osprey, kingfishers, pelicans, parrots, and wading birds. Downtown Lake Worth is eight blocks away and is filled with charming shops and restaurants, plus the Bamboo Room (a world class blues club). Many of the cafes have outdoor tables and are dog friendly!

Lake Worth beach has a great open air restaurant bar and a gorgeous new pier for fishing or just ogling the beach goers. Feb. 25th and 26th is the annual Lake Worth Street Painting Festival - a great weekend happening! Other nearby (no more than an hour's drive) attractions include Roger Dean Stadium, home of spring training for the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals; the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, home to a world class bonsai collection; Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, home of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival (Jan 11- April 1); Palm Beach Polo Club (polo season Jan 29 - April 2); the Norton Museum of Art; Palm Beach itself and famous Worth Ave for primo shopping; Sawgrass Mills Mall (over 350 outlet stores) for bargain shopping; Lion Country Safari, a drive through African game park; off-shore drift fishing; Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino; Miami Beach!

Tarasita is a wonderful little gem of a cottage. This studio cottage was bright and airy and tucked away in such a quaint neighborhood. Upon arrival, Kathleen was attentive and friendly and made us feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We loved waking up with the sun shining through the windows and having breakfast on the rooftop patio overlooking the garden. The cottage had everything we needed--a true home away from home right down to the beach towels and bug spray and even our very own Guest Services Associate--Rani the cat! :) We loved exploring Lake Worth and appreciated that the beach was just a short drive away. The location of this property is fantastic. It is literally a 10 minute drive from West Palm International Airport. It is tucked away enough to "escape civilization" and relax, but close enough to hop in the car and enjoy shopping, good restaurants, and area attractions. Miami is less than an hour and a half away, and we absolutely loved Delray Beach! Be sure to get a piece of key lime pie from the Old Key Lime House in Lantana!
When I made a scheduling mistake with my flight, Kathleen was gracious enough to allow me to stay a couple of extra hours beyond my scheduled checkout: a lifesaver to be sure.
I would recommend this property in a heartbeat! Thank you so much Kathleen for your hospitality and flexibility. I hope we can return someday and stay a little longer!

We stayed a week at this beautiful studio. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Kathleen and Lou were great hosts and were always concerned that we had everything we needed. We love the Lake Worth area and go there on a regular basis. We will definitely be seeing Kathleen and Lou soon.

Tarasita is a great destination for those seeking privacy and autonomy, with a great proximity to the seaside and downtown strip. Lake Worth provides an excellent departure from the typical West Palm Beach styling, with plenty of "salt of the earth" people to meet and independently owned restaurants and bars nearby. Our arrival was seamless, and the proximity to PBI allowed for us to be off the plane and in the sun in under 30 minutes. Kathleen and Lou offered bicycles for touring the community, and the Lakeshore roadways are popular for walking or jogging. The nearby Bryant Park was ideal for morning exercise and meditation, with a nice outdoor circuit of resistance and plyometric options. Also, the Lake Worth Par Three club in within walking distance, and offers club rentals at a very modest price. Moreover, the Lake Worth Casino and beachfront is recently renovated, and very inviting. We benefited from the accommodating kitchen and proximity to our daily activities, allowing for easy returns for a snack or break from the sun. I wish we stretched our stay a few extra days to see the Street Painting Festival, but there is always next year! Tarasita gets high marks for its roofdeck and garden solitude, which provided an excellent setting for reading and getting to know Rani, the finest Guest Relations director canned tuna fish can buy.

Kathleen and Lou's property was a perfect place for a multi-week business trip that ended up feeling like a vacation.

The apartment is peaceful, private, clean and beautifully decorated, and a perfect blend of relaxation and accessibility to local destinations. Downtown Lake Worth restaurants, shops and locals is a short walk or very close drive, and I-95 is a few minutes away for easy access to West Palm Beach to the north or Boynton Beach to the south, or anyplace nearby. I commuted daily to West Palm, and it was a breeze.

The landscaping around the house and the visual beauty of the cottage make this feel like a place with soul. I wish more places like this existed in the world of business travel, and I definitely look forward to coming back here at some point simply for a vacation.

Couldn't ask for a more perfect place, comple with breezes directly off Lake Worth! It's obvious the owners appreciate the natural beauty of the area around them in that the grounds are so well kept, making for a soothing setting and enhancing your vacation vibe overall! The inside of the cottage is no different, open and spacious with the perfect details and complete amenities. The owners are very responsive, from inquiry stage throughout stay.

This is the perfect spot for you if you're looking for a quiet, lovely spot close to everything you want to see and do in the area!
