DELUXE STUDIO AT STOWE MOUNTAIN LODGE: SPA, GOLF, SKI-IN/SKI-OUT

We pulled up to the Stowe Mountain Lodge and our baggage and skis were whisked away by a polite and accommodating staff. The room is as pictured - beautifully appointed with granite and marble bath, large shower, comfortable king size bed, and a sliding glass door that looks out onto the slopes. The kitchen is too small to prepare a full meal - two very small gas burners, no oven, and a "dorm room size" refrigerator - suitable for reheating leftovers but I wouldn't plan on cooking in the room. The room faced the gondola which might be disappointing in the summer but for a ski vacation it was fine. You could hear the sound of the gondola running in the room, but again, we were there to ski! We enjoyed the pool and hot tubs in the late afternoon - however it got pretty crowded around 5:00pm. We also loved the ski valet! We would recommend this property to a couple who wanted to enjoy luxurious, ski in and ski accommodations and planned on eating out for most or all of their meals. We would not recommend the hotel restaurant - Solstice – I don’t mind paying for good food, but the service was terrible, the food was poorly prepared, and the atmosphere was ruined by ill behaved children with iPads.
