A wonderful house with well thought-out design. It has everything you need and even more) Location, cleanness, comfort... Everything was perfect. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends.
This apartment is spotlessly clean and the location is superb. It is well-equipped, well-planned and spacious. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay in the same apartment again.
Our family of four stayed in this little jewel box for a week in June/July 2014. We stayed for a week in an apartment in London prior to this. Having always stayed in hotels until this trip, our experience with this apartment has won us over to apartment rentals. The Atelier is so beautifully designed that it was truly a relaxing and enjoyable place to return to after long and crowded summer days in Paris. From the darling bedroom with its armoire and comfortable bedding down the spiral staircase to the fully equipped chef's kitchen, and old stone walls of the bathroom, each part of this apartment is thoughtfully designed and furnished. It is as represented in the photos- perhaps even better!
Here's what we also appreciated-
* A large beautiful bowl filled with fresh vegetables for our use. (After a week in London we were craving vegetables!)
* A large bowl of tomatoes on the dining table.
* Fully stocked with laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, new kitchen sponge, plastic bags and the things you don't want to have to purchase for your week's vacation. (Our apartment in London did not provide these.)
* Wonderful shampoo and body wash for our use. (Again another touch our other apartment rental in London did not provide)
* Hair dryer
* Electrical adapters left for our use in addition to the built in one in the kitchen perfectly located for phone/ipad charging.
* Lovely sheets and towels.
* A sofa bed our kids said was quite comfortable and a big screen t.v. for them to watch the World Cup.
* Proximity to the Arts et Metiers metro (one block) and walking distance to great shopping (Marais) Notre Dame (15 min) and the Louvre (20-25 min).
* Carforte (sp?) grocery store is right by the metro- one block away.
We could not be more pleased with our stay at this lovely apartment and hope to return some day. We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. We have to add that we had some concerns when we google mapped the location and saw the street view. The apartment is located in the Asian handbag section of the Marais and I was a bit concerned that it was going to be full of trucks, noise and perhaps not 'french' enough. This is truly of no concern. The apartment is down a charming alley with a wonderful wine bar and patisserie. Behind the wood alley door lies a courtyard leading to the first floor apartment (with a charming spiral staircase up to the bedroom). It is a very safe area.
This is a well located flat in the area just north of the Marais. Close to the Metro as well as lots of nightlife. Quiet and secure. Recommended.
I wanted to express my gratitude for your warm and exquisite hospitality. We celebrated a wonderful long weekend in Paris. Your apartment is refreshingly zen and artistic. Thank you so much for the wine and vegetables! We warmed up by the fire, and enjoyed the bottle of wine. Our evenings were quiet and cozy. I felt like I was staying at a five-star hotel. A perfect place to nest after a day of exploring the museums and cafes. I have recommended your place to my friends, and I shall definitely be returning for another rendezvous in the future. Thank you again!
This was my first time renting an apartment instead of getting a hotel room. Because of my experience, I will hopefully never have to get a hotel again. The apartment was wonderful. It looks exactly like the pictures. The owner emailed us some helpful tips and advice which we tried to follow (time was tight). The apartment manager David, met us at the apartment when we arrived. He had the apartment heated up for us, gave us a tour and also offered some advice. When we were in the States, we were unable to make a dinner reservation. David took care of it and made one for us. I went to Paris with my boyfriend, his dad and his sister and a friend. There was 5 of us total and the apartment felt cozy and homelike. It is located by two metro stops- so you can get anywhere you need to. Great location. Great hospitality, Wonderful Experience. Will be back.
Amazing location for young family. It was just a few blocks to Pompidou Center and then short walk down to the river, Notre Dame, etc. It made an extremely good home base for parents and kids, with so many incredible places to visit (and eat) so close by. Would have been great for just parents too! We stayed in the one BR apartment, with two kids on pullout couch, and parents and a 2 year old upstairs in the loft bedroom. It was plenty of space for us and the decor is charming. The winding stair case maybe not ideal for new walkers or senior citizens but was not a problem for us. owners and on site manager very responsive. We appreciated driver meeting us at train station to facilitate acclimation. One rainy morning we were able to easily access the backed up video library. We hope to return.
'Le Marais,' which means 'the marsh, bog or swamp!!” is the heart of historical Paris. It sits between the Pompidou Centre to the southwest, and almost as far north as Republique. You'll find the Picasso Museum on its eastern edge and the Seine at the southern border. (These areas are all within 10 minutes walking distance.) Most of this now protected district was built in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is one of the most fashionable districts, and one of the most expensive to live in too. Full of museums and beautiful buildings and mansions, the quarter is lively thanks to countless bars; cafes and restaurants open all year long. It is in this quarter that you can stroll down the beautiful quaint streets seven days a week. This area is also still a major centre of the Paris Jewish community where delis and bakeries sell kosher food and fallafels. Just nearby is the rue des Francs Bourgeois possibly one of the most famous streets in the ' Marais’ and the heart and essence of the quartier. The atmosphere most probably the most unique in all of Paris.
Perfectly located close to the famous 'Marché des Enfants ' where the locals do their shopping and where you can buy gourmet food at reasonable prices.
The famous “Notre Dame' situated on an island on the river Seine is a mere 15 minutes away on foot and can be seen from the end of the street. Metro connections are in abundance with the nearest being only 150 yards away.
