This fully equipped apartment is a five minute walk from the charonne metro station on line 9. It is located at the 5th level (sixth American) of a recent 6 floors building ( late 1990s) and the full renovation was completed in the summer 2011. The apartment comes with a parking spot which is located on the - 2 level and which is directly accessible from the apartment with the elevator. The elevator is large and reliable.
The apartment is very airy ( 90 square meters or a little more than 900 square feet), has a lot of windows, facing east and west, it offers a large living room where you can have dinner and/or relax comfortably for eight people. there is a large tv screen with international channels. The kitchen nearby is fully equipped and well stocked with a fridge, freezer, microwave and traditional oven, dishwasher, washer, drier. There is a small table there where four people can sit.
Then you enter in the sleeping area. On your left side, there is a toilet, then the first bedroom with a queen size bed and equipped with an ensuite bathroom (large massage shower) opens to a balcony with table and chairs. Then at the end two bedrooms and another full bathroom (bath tub + shower+toilet). One of the bedroom is equipped with twin beds and the other one has a king size bed and opens to another balcony.
The living room is equipped with a sofa bed which transforms into a confortable queen size bed.
There are plenty of closets and the apartment comes with free phone to 100 countries including North America and Australia, free WI-Fi, free cable TV. All windows close with rolling shutters and therefore all rooms can offer complete darkness.
The all-inclusive weekly rental fee covers quality linens and towels.
The location is very convenient to tour Paris. It is a walking distance (less than five minutes) to the metro station Charonne on line 9. This takes you directly to Republique ( 3 metro stops), the grands boulevards, the opera, the champs elysees, the eiffel tower, and even Rolland Garros, the French Open stadium. From Republique which is a main metro hub with direct access to line 3, 5, 8,9 and 11 you can basically go anywhere in paris directly with no metro change.
The building is located on the rue de charonne but the apartment looks out on one side on a dead end street and gardens and on the other side a quiet small street ( rue de la petite pierre) so you hardly hear any street noise from the apartment. The access of the building is very secure with codes, fabs and buzzer.
There is a supermarket across the street and there are a number of cafes and restaurants nearby. Rue de charonne is a trendy district which leads directly to the bastille area.
Please be aware that to confirm a reservation we ask about 20 per cent of the payment and always propose paypal. other forms of payments may be proposed to the tenant at his convenience such as wire transfer but paypal is always an option.
If full payment is asked and/or paypal is not proposed you should be extremely suspicious and call the owner on the phone number which is listed here.
Starting october 2015 the apartment will be rented for 6 months minimum with a 3000 euro montly rent .

The apartment was comfortable and very much as described in the listing. The location and size of the apartment worked very well for the three of us. There was a lot of information available about nearby restaurants (particularly helpful) and transportation; we often used the bus stop near the apartment. The first night we discovered a problem with the shower in the master bathroom. The next morning Olivier came to look at the problem and explained the options he could offer. We were satisfied with the result and working with Olivier. Towards the end of the rental, my mother was hospitalized. There were many calls back and forth to my family in the US; it was very helpful that we had a comfortable place to sit and talk and that the phone in the apartment made calls to the US without additional charge.
The apartment was really comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves when we were not out sightseeing. The washer and dryer really came in handy so we could pack lighter. The description and photos of the flat were accurate. The property was clean and everything was in working order. We had more than enough room for the 5 of us and could have had 2 more guests comfortably. Our contact, Olivier, was friendly, very helpful, and made himself available anytime for anything we needed assistance with. I recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice home away form home in a clean, non-touristy feeling, neighborhood. Anything you may need can be found on rue de Charonne (Charonne Rd). From grocers and pharmacies to butchers, bakers and specialty shops. There are even several restaurants to choose from. The only issue we had was that some of the shops, all over Paris, were closed because of the summer holiday from mid July - August (half the Parisians leave for vacations). This is the norm for the region so plan accordingly. If we visit Paris in the future, this is where we would stay again.
Nice and quite location, cozy, light and spacious apartment. A little difficult usage of a bathroom shower installation, but - on the other hand - it represented a real SPA shower cabine. Transportation is so comfortable - a 76 bus line stop is right next to the building and tube stations situated 5-10 mins walk away.
Really pleasant and calm neighbourhood with small shops and restaurants around.
Maybe not luxury, but anyway nicely arranged place with a good value for money rental cost.
Our party of five mature adults loved the apartment in Charonne. It's a 60 Euro cab ride from Charles de Gaulle, and proivdes easy access to the Metro on two different lines. We only used the Metro to get around, and it was an easy walk back to the apartment, even after a full day of sightseeing.
From the beginning, Olivier was quick to respond to our emails, and met us at the apartment a bit earlier than expected, since our flight was early. Thanks again Olivier!
Everyone in our group thought that the Charonne apartment was delightful. We really enjoyed the amount of space. The large bedrooms were comfortable, and the living room gave us enough room to spread out and relax. The free phone calls to the western world came in handy as well. The roll-down shutters on all the windows blacked out the daylight, so we could sleep in a bit.
There are many great restaurants in the area, a couple convenience stores, and a major grocery store is just a ten minute walk away.
Given the amount of room, this is easily the best bargain in Paris. Highly recommended.
We are happy with literally everything. The apartment itself is great, the location is fantastic and Olivier handles everything on a very professional level. For something like this, the price is more than fair. We'll be contacting Olivier if we ever decide to visit Paris again.
P.S. Olivier is probably the most serious man I've ever met. Don't let his complete lack of any sort of facial expression whatsoever put you off. :)
The apartment was exactly as it appears in the photos and it was able to accommodate our family of 8 adults and a kid.
The apartment is very conveniently located near metro stations and within minutes you will be able to reach the stations and also it has supermarkets, restaurants and even a mobile shop right below the apartment.
We enjoyed our stay of 7 nights very much in this apartment and I will definitely recommend this to anyone who wanted to have a home away from home.
