I am a female Optician who came to live in Cape Town during my retirement after living in Johannesburg for many years. This city felt like a different country , slow pace, beautiful scenery, good food and wine, I should have come to live here many years ago.
norma chapman purchased this condo in 2010
I love to travel myself and as a single woman find my condo really convenient , secure and easy living. I love the natural beauty of the West Coast and those glorious spring daisy's. They are so spectacular bus tours are arranged here.
My condo is quaint, modern and new. Well equipped, comfortable and easy living. Very conveniently positioned, for shopping, transport and attractions.
I lived in this beautiful townhouse for three months between April and July, 2013, and life was really good. This wonderful opportunity came about because the owner needed a petsitter during her two month vacation and invited me to stay in her rental townhome for the remaining length of my visa. We became close friends in the process and a tiny Teacup Yorkie will always be my dearest baby.
This excellent, well-appointed home looks exactly like the photos and is very quiet and comfortable in an attractive Parklands neighborhood near to shopping malls and public transportation. It is completely secure with a privacy fence and a good alarm system. The patio is spacious and is an excellent spot for outdoor cooking and entertaining.
My stay was during the winter but it was very similar, weatherwise, to my Florida home. Most days are clear and sunny, though you might see all the seasons in one day.
Cape Town is truly a most beautiful place and much more than simply a city. It has many beaches and harbors; many mountains, including the ever-present icon, Table Mountain; many distinct, village-like neighbor-hoods, all with world-class cafes. There are so many things to do for sightseeing, but also, everything in the way of shopping, especially for finding good fashion on a budget.
Americans, Aussies and Kiwis will feel as if everything is very inexpensive and affordable in South Africa, due to the favorable exchange rate. That's probably true of the UK, as well. I'm an around-the-world traveler, so I can attest that this country is easy on the pocketbook compared to most other Westernized countries. And yet, it is modern and safe with everything in good repair. South Africans are lovely people and everybody speaks English. How can you lose?
What a great hostess Norma is! Her home is furnished with everything you need for a stay no matter how long you will stay. But more importantly, Norma is a person who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and to assist in helping you do the things you want to do in the fabulous city of Cape Town. There is a lovely outside area of the condo unit that is perfect for a private breakfast or dinner. We will be back to visit Norma and to enjoy the well maintained property! I highly recommend this to all!!
This was by far our best vacation yet! The condo is spot on as described. Conveniently located close to all of the action but quiet and peaceful enough to fully relax and enjoy. Our host was extremely kind and helpful. The service FAR exceeded our expectations. You cannot go wrong staying here. We have a new vacation home in Cape Town. We're already looking forward to our next trip.
My husband and I stayed at this townhouse for 1 week.
It is spotlessly clean, offers all conveniences and is very comfortable. We felt safe and at home.
We really enjoyed the fact that we could visit the wonderful attractions and beautiful beaches that the Cape has to offer.
A highlight for us was watching the stunning sunsets and views of Table Mountain from the varied restaurants at big Bay.
Should we return to South Africa, we would definitely like to stay here again.
We are a couple with a small child from England and this is our second visit here. Again, we found the townhouse to be perfectly situated, with easy access to the lovely beaches, supermarkets / shopping centre's and restaurants.
Parklands is a nice leafy suburb that we find to be safe, quiet and conveniently situated. With the good road network this is a great base for getting to all the fantastic attractions Cape Town has to offer.
The Townhouse itself is extremely clean and homely and contained everything we needed, plus more.
We can not wait to visit this beautiful country again and will most certainly be staying here.
Cape Town was the last week of my seven month world trip from Asia Europe and The Americas. The new airfare deals from Buenos Aires to Cape town convinced me to stop in Africa on the circuit back to Asia. And where was the best spot in my travels??...Cape Town! Its given me a taste for Africa-- as its exceptionally beautiful and friendly- and cheap- for such high standards!
Norma's Town house is'' five star' finished. There's a first class public transport system linking everything
(don't forget you are supposed to get Yellow fever shots if flying from South America)
Parklands suburb 10 minutes to the West Coast Beach.
Big Bay is within a ten minute drive where a string of restaurants line the beach and give you the famous view of Table Mountain and Robben Island. Many windsurfers are there to entertain you.
