We have two beautiful apartments on the same floor (apartment apartment I and II). Ask the pictures of the apartment II by email (contact form below). Reply emails daily.

The spacious apartment has 3 bedrooms and one suite Premium, two social rooms, one bathroom and a maid with bathroom. Room for two rooms - TV room and dining - with balcony overlooking pool and waterfront. Full kitchen (utensils, stove with piped gas, refrigerator 'frost free' and microwave).

Full bathrooms with hygienic shower and electric shower. Two large rooms with two beds box singleton type each. Premium Suite with queen size bed box, split air conditioning and cable TV and an INCR-i-SPEED balcony to the beach and pool.

All environments (bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms) are designed for your comfort.

The new condo offers elevator, electric fence and alarm. There ballroom, private garage for 1 or 2 cars and a wonderful pool area with direct access to the beach.

Building, furniture, new appliances! Mounted in 2012.

Great location close to the main shopping (MAG and Manaíra Shopping), several restaurants on the same avenue as well as bakeries, newsstands and other services.

Great apartment in a great place !

We have very much enjoyed our one-week stay in Joao Pessoa mostly because we were staying in Arthur's flat. He is very welcoming, giving many advices to help us have our best holidays. The view is gorgeous from the parents' bedroom, it is very enjoyable to have just one gate between the parking lot and the beach... Enjoy, as we did !

Beautiful, Safe, and Fun

Several of us stayed at Pé Na Areia Apartments during the World Cup in Brazil. Overall it was a clean, safe, and enjoyable location. The rooms each had their own air conditioning unit and with the constant stiff breeze off the ocean even the unaircondtioned parts were very comfortable. The entire place was tiled and made for easy sweeping after tracking in sand from the beach. Having a full kitchen and a washing machine were a great plus and hanging up your clothes to dry only took an hour or two with the breeze.

A major plus was how easy it was to get around, even on foot. There is a fantastic restaurant/bar (Dona Bronca) literally across the street which was very popular and had live music most nights. The beach is only feet away and if you like kite boarding there is a rental place right down the beach. There are also several other good restaurants within walking distance, including a great churrascaria( http://www.salebrasa.com.br) we ate at frequently. Additionally, there is a mall within walking distance as is a grocery store. A bit further up the beach (a few miles) you'll find authentic Brazilian stores with fantastic clothes and an open air market that was amazing. We would walk there drinking from coconuts and catch a taxi back. If you have a car/taxi getting to these places would trivial.

Arthur also accommodated us by finding trusted drivers to take us to and from the matches in Natal and Recife for a very fair price. Jefferson (and the others) were invaluable, resourceful, and friendly. Ask for Jefferson though, we loved him so much we took him to a cup match with us.

Full disclosure...

It would have been nice to handle the entire payment over PayPal, but that was apparently not an option, even though we offered to pick up the exchange difference. Also, when we first arrived one shower did not have hot water, but that was fixed the same day we mentioned it.

Arthur was friendly, attentive, and hospitable and I would certainly stay at Pé Na Areia Apartments in the future. I've already recommended it to friends planning to travel to Brazil.

Excellent Apartment

The apartment was excellent, very clean, very good location to lots of restaurants and shopping and most importantly very good location to the beach. Apartment and location also felt very safe. Arthur was very professional and very easy to work with, he responded to all my emails very quickly. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone traveling to Joao Pessoa. Everyone we met while in Brazil was very nice and friendly.

Our World Cup base

We have just returned from 11 days in Joao Pessoa, which we used as a base to watch the Wprld Cup in Brazil 2014. The apartment was really well situated, right on the beach. The beach was really clean and the water was warm, even in the middle of the Brazilian winter. There are some great bars and restaurants within walking distance. The main commercial district with shopping malls and restaurants is a very pleasant tem minute stroll. We found the area really pleasant and safe any time of day or night. The usual precautions apply, don't draw attention to yourself or show expensive jewellery or phones.

The apartment is really bright, clean and well equipped. Good size fridge, oven, flat screen TV and washing machine. Our host, Arthur, couldn't have been more helpful. He arranged transportation to and from Recife airport, transportation to and from one of the games in Natal, lent us his satellite navigation unit when we were driving ourselves (really useful) and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and tips for getting around.

Bom, mas, pode melhorar...

O flat é muito bem localizado e os apartamentos são novos e amplos. O proprietário Sr. Arthur é bem atencioso. Contudo, chegamos para passar a semana santa e de cara fomos atendidos por um porteiro muito mal educado e logo após, fomos "sorteados" com um apartamento poente, o que nos obrigou a usar o ar-condicionado com maior frequência, que por sinal, cobram muito caro pela energia elétrica (R$ 0,85xKw/h) e gás (não me lembro o cálculo. Só sei que paguei por dois dias quase a metade de um botijão de gás!). A praia em si é boa, porém, não tem muita estrutura para o turista (bares, barracas, etc.), por isso, leve seu guarda-sol, cadeirinhas e suas bebidas no cooler para não ter dor de cabeça...por fim, pagamos uma taxa de limpeza de R$90,00 e não houve limpeza (trata-se de taxa para receber o apartamento limpo e entrega-lo sujo...não entendi, mas, tudo bem.

Enfim, ponha na ponta do lápis para ver se compensa o flat ou uma pousada/hotel com café da manhã...

Como foi a sua primeira vez alugando um apartamento por temporada acredito que é relevante utilizar este espaço para esmiuçar os pontos em questão: 1) O porteiro é funcionário do condomínio e todos sempre falam muito bem dele por aqui. Nunca houve queixas em 3 anos de operação. Acredito tenha sido algo pontual. 2) O apartamento II que o senhor ficou não é poente, é frente-sul, e como o prédio é estreito pega o sol dos dois lados. Sempre envio todas as características e fotos dos apartamentos disponíveis (apartamento I ou apartamento II) por email e deixo a critério do hóspede escolher a unidade que quiser ficar. O senhor escolheu ficar no apartamento II e, dessa forma, não houve sorteio, foi escolha do senhor. 3) O valor cobrado pela energia elétrica é enviado na proposta por email e, portanto, não há surpresas e é de comum acordo. A média de consumo atualmente é entre R$ 5 a R$ 10 por dia, no entanto, o consumo da energia elétrica depende unicamente do hóspede que deve controlar como em qualquer casa normal. É importante ressaltar que o Governo Federal tem reajustado sucessivamente o valor da energia elétrica neste início de ano 2015 e no período estamos sendo cobrado em bandeira vermelha (energia mais cara). 4) O valor cobrado pelo consumo de gás de cozinha é o mesmo do condomínio (Gás encanado GLP) e também depende unicamente do hóspede que deve controlar como em qualquer casa normal. Além disso, o gás de cozinha também tem sido alvo de vários reajustes sucessivos do governo através da Petrobrás. 5) Nós não oferecemos serviço de limpeza diária do apartamento como hotel. A taxa de limpeza (atualmente R$90,00) é para o pagamento da faxineira que entrega o apartamento limpo (incluindo roupa de cama e banho) e, após a saída do hóspede, limpa novamente. No entanto, caso o hóspede deseje um serviço exclusivo de limpeza podemos indicar uma faxineira com custo adicional. Foi cumprido tudo o que foi estabelecido nos termos do contrato e no que foi combinado por email. Por fim, acho válido e muito importante esclarecer estes pontos especialmente para aqueles que ainda não estão acostumados em alugar um apartamento por temporada. Aproveito para informar que estamos disponíveis para esclarecer todos os pontos necessários para que os nossos hóspedes tenham uma estadia cada vez melhor. Atenciosamente, Arthur
