the lying ecological concept and inernet add abuse

Hello, my name is Philippe - I had rented this house from Dec 29th , 2012 till January 12th,2013.I can provide the contract related to. This house is just not at all as described - The doors do not lock, the shower on the ground floor does not work - the electrical system is totally obsolete and dangerous - the electrical wires are hanging out at many places . we slept only 1 night and left out for safety reasons. the home away site indicates that there is an alarm but it does not work. The main bedroom and sheets are smelling like hell :-) the coments posted are a lie, as the last posted cannot be, as the 2 of us were renting the house but left it. Unfortunately for us, a typical internet abuse. The owner of this house is not insured for fire, but adds a clause in the renting contract making sure that the customer is fully liable in case of fire . This is illegal but common practise in Brasil if you are not aware. We have taken many pictures of this house and can provide them upon request. This house is totally unsafe, does not lock, is in the forest . The pool described in the add is indeed a river and can be dangerous as the water can contain hazards...
We strongly recommend not to rent this house as it could have screwed up our holidays - We have opened a formal claim.
Hopefully, we have met other very nice people who offered us very good places to stay , and made our holiday a great moment.
Owner's Response: The contract I use is a standard short-term from the internet, and has been verified for legality by 2 different lawyers. It had been send for approval to these people 3 weeks before their arrival, and no complaints were made at the time. I later offered to cancel the fire clause to cater for these peoples unusual fears about liability for fire in case of their own negligence(!), so this is obviously a constructed argument - as much as most of their complaints and allegations made in order to justify them breaking the contract. It must have become clear to them quite early that they have no reasonable stand for their claims at all, so smudging my reputation seems the only way for them to vent their anger for having made a poor choice of a accommodation in terms of their priorities and preferences. They possibly realized too late that their peer group frequents a different part of the Florianópolis island, and were looking for an easy way out of their contractual obligations.
They inspected the property thoroughly before the contract was signed - no complaints were made at the time. The house is indeed in the forest, and the pool is indeed inside the river. All this is clearly stated and visible in the photos of my add. All showers work, all doors lock, and the alarm has been serviced and works. The electrical system has been installed by licensed electricians and is safe and fully functioning.
All bedding had been washed and dried on the day of their arrival (which is the same day the previous guests who gave me 5 stars had left) and I find the comment absolutely offensive.
It is of course easy to offer supplying alleged illegal contracts or bad pictures when these people are well aware that nobody can actually make contact with them in order to obtain this ‘evidence’.
I, on the other hand always supply my contract for approval before closing (and I am always prepared to discuss areas that may be problematic to a client – not that this ever happened before), I post authentic pictures and can provide others, as well as contacts of satisfied customers.
Unfortunately I am not allowed to comment on these people in terms of their attitude and behavior - suffice to say that I will have to select people staying in my house with more care in the future.
