We've stayed at this beautiful home more than once, during early spring and in the heart of the summer. It was the perfect place for our family. It was very clean and very cozy! With the large grass covered yard and the lake in the backyard, our sons had endless activities and water sports to keep them happy and busy. The views from the home as well as the yard were breathtaking. My husband and I woke each morning to enjoy the gorgeous rising of the sun over the tranquility of the lake. While there is plenty of space in this home with a full kitchen and two bathrooms, we appreciated the convenience and enjoyment of the outdoor shower. A short distance to a quaint downtown and easy access to the rail trail for running or power walking. Evenings we enjoyed sitting around the campfire and cruising around the lake. We loved our time in this beautiful home and hated to leave. Thank you.
Our family of four has stayed at this home for the past five years. We always look forward to our return as we have continued to be more than pleased with our stay. We have stayed here all four seasons as we have hiked the mountains in the fall, skied local ski slopes in the winter and enjoyed the abundance of activities that spring and summer has to offer here. My kids love paddle boarding and kayaking on the pond, which is just steps away from the front door. The private sandy beach is a true asset to this property as it offers a place to relax at all times of the day, including a floating dock for the kids and adults to swim to and jump from. A short walk from the property gives access to a local rail trail that leads into the downtown area of Fyreburg and beyond for those more ambitious. Bike riders, runners and roller bladers all convene on this path. At the property, my husband and I have learned that enjoying a fresh cup of coffee on the beach on an early summer morning provides scenic views (including a view of an “arrow” in the mountain range) and beautiful, still waters. There is a great fire pit located near the waters edge where evening gatherings are spent roasting marshmallows with family and friends and listening to the local sing song voices of the loons on the water. The home is immaculately clean with more than adequate provisions in the kitchen and bedrooms and even includes access to a washer and dryer. There are modern touches throughout the rooms with a large flat screen television for night time movie viewing with the family! We highly recommend this property with ample space to enjoy as a family or with friends.
All of our desires for the perfect vacation were accomplished during our stay here. The tranquility, the swimmable lake, being surrounded by nature, the easy access to town, variety of restaurants, shopping, social events, parks, State reserves, the White Mountains, and lots of hiking were only a part of how fantastic this was. The online description and photos are very accurate, yet the charm, well maintained and perfectly situated cottage as well as the surrounding property can only be experienced firsthand. This is a perfect place for a family as well as for a romantic couple’s getaway. Marla, the owner was courteous to work with and she is always available before and during the stay to answer questions or assist with any issues. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking and the cottage comes complete with a woodstove, air conditioning, washer dryer, bunk beds, outdoor refreshment refrigerator, swings, hammocks, fire pit, raft, mooring, kayaks, and a BBQ. What more could you ask for!! Although we enjoyed our adventures to hike in the mountains and shop in North Conway we were more than satisfied to stay right at the cottage and enjoy all that it had to offer. Our family will always remember our vacation here and we will certainly be back.
Me and my family had the most memorable vacation. The house is beautiful and location on the lake is perfect. Amazing views as far as the eye can see. All with excellent proximity to many amenities, and fabulous restaurants. Enjoy all the outdoors has to offer just steps away, including fishing, boating, hiking etc.
We absolutely love this property! Everything from the sandy beach and warm lake water to the large lawn and charming house make this the perfect summer rental. The layout of the house is great for family activities at the same time there is room for privacy. The house was clean and the amenities were very nice as described. The patio area is perfect for cookouts and just hanging out looking out over the beach and views of the mountains across the lake. We also like how close it is to Fryeburg and nearby North Conway, NH where there are lots of great restaurants and shops. Probably our favorite thing was ending a great day by the fire enjoying s'mores together as a family. We highly recommend this property. We can't wait for our next visit!
I have been meaning to write a review of this wonderful location. The entire family could not have been more pleased with our time spent in this vacation home. The beach was great for small children and adults. Great lawn and fire pit. We rented a Pontoon boat and enjoyed cruising & tubing in a beautiful tranquil setting. The home itself was clean and well kept. With the long kitchen table and overall open concept it kept everyone talking, playing board games and enjoying each other's company. And lastly, it was fantastic when the Mom's took the kids to Santa's Village for the day. Can't wait for August. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.
Ideal Summer retreat for families with children and water toys or the lake-lover in search of warm water, 200 ft of white, sandy private beach, swimming raft, moutain views, boating/canoing and fishing.
Exit this lakefront cottage and step foot onto green grass that rolls into access to the spectacular sandy beach which extends slowly out into the lake -- perfect for small children who can wade out 30-40 ft before it drops off. Lovewell Pond is special, with lovely mountain views and access into the Soco River. Plan a canoe or kyak trip and paddle into the pond and straight to the front beach of the house. A canoe, paddle-boat(seats 4), water toys, and fishing rods are available to renters.
The cottage has AC available in the main family room which can cool the entire house on those hot summer dates. A small outdoor fridge in shed for beverages/snacks is made available to renters. A covered 2 car parking garage is available as is an outdoor 2 car lot. Additional parking available along the house.

Or you may choose to stay home, fire up the BBQ and roast marshmellows in the fire-pit by the lake. Activities abound on the lake and locally in the Summer.
We are an ideal Fall and Winter get-away as well. Just a few miles away from the Fryeburg Fair (early October), you can be in and out in minutes.
