Perfect Home-Away-From-Home!

I always prefer to say in a condo or house when I travel - specifically so I can cook my own meals and there is space to spread out. This place was perfect! The resort is centrally located in Lahaina -- easy to walk to get groceries or walk downtown or even to catch the sunset at the marina. We rented a car (so add $15/day for parking) and found Aina Nalu an easy drive to fabulous snorkeling - grand adventures - and spectacular sunsets. When it was too hot to be outside, we were very comfortable with two A/C units! One stop at Costco plus various farmers markets and local grocery stores and we were able to cook many of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. We loved having a washer-drier in the unit and the shower was awesome after a day of exploring.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

My husband and I stayed in this unit for a week. We were incredibly pleased with this condo. It was within walking distance to everything on Front Street, and it was only a quick drive to several of Maui's popular beaches.
The unit itself was very clean, and it came stocked with just about anything you could think of (blender, iron, beach toys & chairs, etc). The bed was comfy, the free wireless was handy for booking last-minute excursions, and the grounds were BEAUTIFUL. My only complaint was a small one: there were no overhead lights in the master bedroom which made it a little difficult to get ready in the early morning when we were heading out for certain activities.
If we make it back to Maui, I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
