Beautiful home with great value and great weather year round.
We are travel snobs, spoiled by staying in the best hotels and villas in the world. This ranks right up there for us. Peaceful. Secure. Private. Outstanding sunset views. Blooming flowers everywhere on the patio (summer). Chefs kitchen. Great location - just minutes from downtown. The house is just perfect in so many ways. But more importantly, the beds were just awesome in terms of comfort. Got to get my sleep! The master bath and closet are huge, if you need that. If you like to walk or bike for exercise, this is the place. Just walk out your door and hit the trails of Las Campanas - you might just have the whole place to yourself cause its that peaceful. In summary, our stay was so good we put in a contract to buy a house around the corner. And for overflow of friends, we will certainly put them up in this rental!!
We have rented many times from VRBO, but by far thus wax the best!
This home had fantastic patio gardens to enjoy a lazy day. The best is the west patio for view an unobstructed evening sunset.
It was great to be on the edge of Santa Fe away from any crowd, but it's so close to drive to everything. It's all within a 10-20 minute drive.
The house was well stocked with gadgets to use, until we fried the blender. Sorry! But, we bought a new one.
We have already discussed coming back!
My family of 4 recently stayed at this wonderful house. The place is perfect for a family or group looking for quiet get away. Everything the picutures is exactly as you will find it but the pictures can not describe how fabulous this place is. The spaces are larger than you anticipate and the views at sunset can not be beat. It was cold while we were there so we did not spend much time on the patios as we would have in the spring or fall, even though they are very inviting. The kitchen is well appointed and although there are great resturaunts in Santa Fe, we cooked about half our meals at the house. The master suite is huge and is on the opposite side of the house from the other two bed rooms. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom so our son and daughter didn't have to fight over space.
It is in a gated community so security is not an issue. Not that security is an issue in Santa Fe but being unfamiliar with the area, having the gated community was nice. It is outside of the town so it is very quiet but driving downtown was only a 10 minute drive, so this was very convenient. The property is quite large so there is no issue with privacy from the neighbors.
I would recommend this house for relaxing and entertaining with friends and families. We will stay here again on our next visit to Santa Fe.
This house was exactly as advertised. It is beautifully decorated with nice furniture and lots of accessessories. The house was spotless when we arrived and the owner's housekeeper provided cleaning service at mid-week. Our three-generation family had plenty of room to spread out. We each had our own bedroom and private bathroom. The great room was our gathering place. We kept a roaring fire going in the fireplace. We would definitely consider returning for another stay in this beautiful house.
After a busy year my family needed an escape so we chose Santa Fe. We stayed at this property once before for two nights during the balloon festival and we new this would be the house to free our minds.
On the outside, the property is the kind of territorial style house that gets you in that Santa Fe mood. Like all the houses in the neighborhood they're a healthy distance apart so you're never going to get awakened by a noisy neighbor. When we got close to the house the air had that classic smokey New Mexico scent which helps you get in the mood.
The house is gorgeous, classic Santa Fe with scenic views, really comfortable beds in every room, great fireplaces and an awesome kitchen for cooking. We went down to whole foods after getting settled and got all our Thansgiving essentials and made a terrific meal.
For the "connected" traveller like my father in law that gets anxious when he's "off the grid" all rooms have cable TV and high speed wireless Internet. The only caveat is make sure you have a cell phone with Verizon service because AT&T and Tmobile didn't work due to the remoteness.
As mentioned I had stayed here once before and returned and I will always keep it in my list of comfortable get aways and could see returning year after year.
We all wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at 24 Greythorn. The house and area surpassed our expectations. Fortunately the winter weather was crisp and in the high 40’s, ideal for long walks in your neighborhood and strolls up Canyon Road. Your careful attention to detail and comfortable décor made the house a welcome place for our family gathering. Thank you for making this special place available to us. The home truly won our hearts and we are looking forward a return visit later this year.
