SPECTACULAR WATERFRONT HOME

I would recommend this property to anyone! It was perfect! The location was to die for, the house was clean and comfortable. We ate at Fishy Fishy Cafe right on the water (3 buildings down from the house) and it was the best meal I ever had! If you have the opportunity please please please rent this place! I give it an A+

Watching the fireworks from the rooftop did not disappoint. It is absolutely an ideal location for that! It's also right in the middle of the "hustle and bustle" of Southpoint waterfront dining, so that was also very convenient. Elevator was great to have. Decorated beautifully. We enjoyed the location of this home much more than we enjoyed the home itself. It was not well-suited for a long-term stay (stayed 4 nts).
*Second level air coniditioning would not get below 78 degrees, so it was stifling our entire trip. Master bathroom exhaust fan doesn't work properly, so after taking even a slightly warm shower, you can't breathe in there and you sweat while trying to get ready b/c the air won't cool anything on that floor. Upper level air worked perfectly so there is an issue there that should be addressed.
*This home supposedly has linens provided and sleeps 7-8 people. Plenty of towels. There were literally 5 washcloths. Not one pot holder in the home. Very limited kitchen towels.
*No towel rods or hooks to hang your towels on. Master bath has 1 towel hook for 2 sinks. Other bathroom has a robe hook only. Upper level bath has none. Small thing but when they aren't there, you notice and it is annoying, especially with 2 adults and 3 kids staying here.
*Home was riddled with critters..cockroaches, water bugs, crickets...we found and killed them on every floor. Have never experienced this in any beach property, so I don't feel this is just something that "happens" at the beach.
*The "private" boat slip. This was a big draw for us as we wanted to have our boat docked right in front of where we stayed. There is no marking that these slips are "private." Boats are CONSTANTLY trying to dock here. You have to be vigilant and tell people repeatedly it's private and you chance coming back and not having your spot (we saw this happen). These need to be CLEARLY marked as private so this can be avoided. Strangers also parked in our driveway twice.
*Key only unlocked front door. Did not work on back doors, inside doors that led up stairs, etc..so, you have to go around to the front every time to get in the house when you're coming from the dock. Very inconvenient.
*Floor was filthy. Our kids feet were black within minutes of walking around on this floor right after we arrived. Wore shoes inside the whole trip.
Seemingly small issues but all adds up. For $350/nt, we shouldn't have had any aggravations. It felt like a model home that lacks basic functionality & comfort.

The views were gorgeous. The roof top was amazing. Place cleaned to perfection. Fun Fun was had by all.
