Sand, Saltwater, and Sun

Provo is the definition of island getaway. This condo at Coral Gardens offers the best amenity you can get out of a beach vacation… location! You are footsteps from the beach, and once in the water you will encounter the wonderful coral reef. While snorkeling we saw many types of fish (even the famous barracuda named Bob) sea turtles and of coarse the beautiful coral. The white sand and turquoise clear water (amazing visibility, can see clear to the bottom) is a perfect place to read a book under the hatched umbrellas, enjoy a beer, kayak, snorkel, swim, go for a run, build a sandcastle, and more.
Some things specific to our trip that made staying at the condos so convenient was that the charter boats used for excursions will pick you up on the beach. We enjoyed diving trips (the Drive shop on site even offers 2 day resort training, with pool and open water dives), parasailing, conch dives (dive down and collect your own conch shells and the guide will make a conch salad out of your catch). Also the Somewhere Café has a two-story outdoor bar and restaurant; this offers unobstructed views of sunset. Their happy hour coincides with the hours of sunset and I recommend the fresh Mojitos. Other than the on site dive shop and restaurant the common area also has two pools. Inside the condo they have laundry, full kitchen, living room, dining area, and a large balcony. The IGA grocery store (a short drive away) offers the best selection of groceries so you can use that kitchen and dining. We made a few dinners with fresh fish, but this was most convenient for breakfast and lunch.
Other important mentions include: TCI Helicopters give a breathtaking aerial tour of the island, The Conch Shack and Sharkbite restaurants offer great casual dining, The staff at Coral Gardens is so nice, say hello to Jerome on the beach!
