“Haefen” means harbor in German; in Old English it means safety. To us, it means tranquility and sanctity. We chose Haefen House to be a place to get away from it all, and the compound like feel of the property enables guests to do just that. Haefen House can comfortably sleep up to 12 people in 5 rooms and is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or for a seasonal home away from home.

Located minutes from the secluded beaches of Gerard Point. Access to the private beach club Clearwater Beach. Steps from the famed Jackson Pollack House and the old style Springs General Store. Haefen House is close enough to town to rub shoulders with celebrities but far enough to be completely removed from it all. Your own private oasis from the city. Life as it should be.

Great, Great, Perfect, Perfect, Awesome!

Definitely far better than expected and we had very high expectations! The whole process of working with Jim, from booking our rental through the stay and meeting afterward was a great experience. We looked for a house for a while that could accommodate 7 adults with various idea of "fun" and Haefen House didn't disappoint. Both the house and studio/barn are far larger than each looks in pictures, but everything is just as clean and updated as you would expect. The pool was fantastic to have - even in the chill of early May, and the backyard and its deck as a whole was a great place for everyone to hang out. The beaches are really ARE only a couple minute drive (or jog if that's your thing) away, and easy to find. We'll absolutely return to the property as soon as we can!

Very relaxing weekend

This house was great! It was clean, spacious and perfect getaway for a large group. The whole house has a calming feel - very light and relaxing. The bedrooms were great and so comfortable. We had ten people in our group and we all slept very comfortably with room to spare. The yard was great for relaxing with a large porch surrounding the pool, barbeque grills and a fire pit. The house is a short distance from the beach with a great view and close to town with plenty of fun entertainment. Great way to ring in the New Year. I only assume its even nicer in the summer with the pool open. I would recommend this house to anyone!
