Overview

Princeville Condo Rental Photos and Description

Townhouse/Condo, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

Mauna Kai captures the true North Shore Feeling. A short hike down the Queen's path takes you to peaceful Anini Beach where you can safely swim or snorkel with the whole family. Mauna Kai resort is located between the Prince Course and the Makai Course, which will provide you with the finest tropical golf in the world. Mauna Kai's tropical breezes and warm waters can be your next dream vacation.

Our beautiful Mauna Kai Condo is in a lush garden setting at the end of a quiet walkway. It's an end unit with no one above or below, and only one common wall. With three bedrooms there is plenty of room, two with queen beds and the third bedroom has a new king bed. In addition to the three bedrooms is a loft with a new queen sleeper sofa and play area for the kids.

Wood floors throughout the main floor give it that clean cool feel. The main floor living area has two story vaulted plantation style beam ceilings. A full luxury remodel was just completed, new kitchen and bathrooms with granite and marble!

We also installed new custom carpet in the two upstairs bedrooms and loft, also with vaulted ceilings and fans. The kitchen is remodeled with beautiful granite counter tops and maple cabinets. The upstairs bathroom has new marble shower and granite vanity top. The main floor bathroom has a beautiful marble and glass block walk in shower, granite vanity top with vessel sink.

The kitchen is fully functional and a joy to cook in, unlike some cramped and sparsely equipped condo kitchens. With a main dining table for six and another that seats four, it's comfortable for larger groups. The lanai has seating for 10 also. We spontaneously whipped up a wedding cake last September when we were there.

The Mauna Kai pool is the largest condo pool in Princeville; a pool where you can actually swim laps! The gazebo offers gas and charcoal grills, sink, fridge and space for a private party for 50, however it is usually empty and quiet!

A short drive will take you to Hanalei town or Hanalei Beach Park, an incredible town beach with endless sand, soft waves, wade in swimming and boogie board fun. For the more adventurous, Na Pali Coast hiking, kayaking and Secret Beach are the Ultimate! Secret Beach is a 1/2 mile of ever changing natural sand, waves and cliffs with rarely more than a handful of souls. There are two beautiful Princiville beaches, 10-20 minute walk away.

A short stroll to the Westin Resort gives you access to the finest luxury spa and dining comforts, without the price of the room. Or maybe just visit for Starbucks coffee or the ultimate Bali Hai sunset! Bali Hai is the north shore's canvas for the last sunset in the United States each evening. The mountain's majestic profile is the beginning of the Na Pali cliffs along the north shore of Kauai and provides a romantic backdrop for ocean cruises, helicopter flights, and spectacular hiking adventures. This million dollar sunset view is just steps from our Mauna Kai condo in Princeville. A stay in our spacious 1500 square foot home is just what you're looking for.

The Princeville Center provides many dining and shopping options, including the local market to stock our fully equipped kitchen. We offer free high speed WIFI and plug-in internet service and good cell phone reception on most carriers. A new HD LCD TV with a DVR will get you through a rainy day.

Reduced rates are given for bookings that are back to back with other reservations and for those that fill holes between existing bookings. There is no minimum stay for bookings that fill a gap between two other reservations. Call or email me to discuss.

The weather is perfect year round. So come have a wonderful stay in Paradise.

What makes this condo unique

Kauai Weather

Step off the plane and feel the warm embrace of Kauai with average yearly temperatures ranging between 84 and 69 degrees. Ocean temperatures are also perfect ranging from 71 to 81 degrees year round.

Kauai offers seven distinct microclimates, from lush interior spots to arid areas on the West Side. Mount Waialeale (elevation 5,148 ft) is at the heart of Kauai's uninhabited interior and is a quintessential rainforest with over 400-inches of rain per year. The rain that falls around Mt. Waialeale generally does not affect the coastal parts of the island, which get far less rain than the central spots (as little as 18-inches a year in western areas). Much of Kauai's rainfall is a nightly occurrence, and the rain showers that do occur are almost always brief. When you do see rain, wait for the beautiful rainbows that follow.

The trade winds in Kauai also keep things cool for visitors. The winds are generally light and help chase away much of Hawaii’s humidity. With such great weather, any time of year is a good time to visit Kauai

Bruce, we're here and still trying to comprehend our good fortune. Everything is just as described in the renters' manual, only better. I'm sending this email through your lighting fast WiFi and earlier today I spoke with Steve, your on-sight man, just to check in. Shortly, I will begin learning your home entertainment center. Tonight I went to the "for-real" grocery store, just down the road toward Hanalei, and got enough food to get us started tomorrow. (the prices are pretty high, but I guess that's because we're in the middle of The Pacific) We're very pleased with everything.

Thanks again. We're so glad we found Mauna Kai

The townhouse was very nice, well equipped & enough room for my family. Has everything needed to make anyone's stay comfortable.

The only thing I can a negative about the property is one of the neighbors had a small child that crys loudly during the night but that obviously is property owners fault.

Great Condo!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this condo was great......size, amenities, location, etc. We could not have been happier. Outstanding value! Best deal in Princeville.

The pool area is incredible. No hot tub but the largest pool I've seen on island and 9 feet deep. Most days it was empty!

I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.

Great Family House!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned last week from a one-week stay at Mauna Kai and this house was great for our family. There were 6 adults and 1 baby and there was plenty of room to rest and relax after long days of hiking, snorkeling, and driving around Kauai. A few reviews show concern regarding the lack of an a/c unit, however with the windows open in the afternoon and evening along with the fans on, the rooms stayed plenty cool. The best part of this house was its close proximity to Hanalei Bay and Queens Bath, 2 of my favorite spots on the island. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable!

Just stayed for three weeks in this condo and had a wonderful time. The condo is nice and very well kept. It accomodated my family very well with all the indoor and outdoor seating. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you would need to prepare any meal. The pool is just a short walk from the condo and has a great area for barbecuing and eating your dinner. We did this several times. The area of Princeville is much cooler than the southern part of the island and therefore we prefer this because we do not like to have the air conditioning running. There was always a breeze and the cooling tradewinds helped cool the entire condo as well as the fans in all the rooms. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants to experience a great time in a great place.

Perfect for families!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 (2 small boys; age 6 and 4), plus my mom, stayed here in July 2014 and loved it! The condo itself really lent itself to a large family. The boys and my mom were very comfortable upstairs and my husband and I were happy downstairs. The location was FANTASTIC. Walking distance to a shopping center, grocery store, library and park. I am a runner and there were plenty of trails for me to run on (5-8 miles daily). The laundry and kitchen made us feel at home; we cooked several meals there. Easy drive to Hanalei for great beaches too.

Cons: The walk to Anini beach was too steep for my kids, both down and up, so that was out. There was a bit of noise from the neighbors, but that is part of living in a complex. What can you do? Just hang loose.

The pool was great, too. Overall, I highly recommend and would stay here again! Thank you for your aloha spirit, Bruce!

Thank you so much for the comfy and clean place to come back to after our daily adventures on the island. The place is bright and airy with great ceiling fans to keep you cool. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with the things we needed to cook our own meals and having plenty of towels and a washer and dryer was awesome. The beds were very comfortable as well.
