Photos and Description of the Taggia vacation villa rental 3 bedroom villa with fabulous veiws in great position.

Once the village blacksmith 'Villa Gallese' (Welsh Villa) has been converted to give spacious, comfortable accommodation. Set against the mountains, at the ground floor level are the cantinas or cellars. The 1st floor is open plan with large luxury kitchen with built in appliances and granite work-tops, dining area and lounge area with leather suite, large flat screen TV and entertainment centre. Also on this floor is a large modern bathroom. There is a small patio outside the front door and a large split level patio through the patio doors in the living area. There is a further patio above the roof level accessed by a path behind the house which gives great views of the football pitch down on the road. A spiral stairs leads from the living area to the 3 bedrooms, all of which have exposed beams. The master bedroom has an en-suite with shower basin and WC. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds(that can be made into a king size) a TV, DVD player and a playstation. The 3rd has a king size bed.

Badalucco is a large medieval village set alongside the Argentina river. The centro storica, the ancient centre of the village has narrow winding streets, inaccessible to cars, with little squares and pictures shops. The villa is accessible by car and a couple of minutes walk from the centre. Badalucco has many bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a supermarket, post office, bank, cash point, pharmacy and medical center. There are several beautiful churches, an art gallery and a jewellers workshop. There is a 'swimming hole' in the river where it is deep enough to dive. A ten minute drive down the valley takes you to the beach resorts of the Italian Riviera. San Remo 10k away offers water sports, designer shopping a casino and discos. Driving up the valley takes you to many historic villages. Monto Carlo (grand prix and cafe de Paris) is 30 mins drive and Antibes (water park) Cannes and St Tropez within 90 mins. On the Italian side Portofino and the Cinque Terra are within 2 hrs.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Weekly cleaning/linen fee of 80 euro and security deposit of 200 euro payable in cash locally. The security deposit will be returned once the villa ha been checked by the cleaners. Extra linen/ cleaning can be arranged as can party catering or dinner by Mark and Julie both qualified chefs. Airport pick-ups, shopping and guided walks/ mountain biking can also be arranged. The owners sister Mandi runs Bar Columbo in the centre of the village and the keys are picked up from here before 8pm. Mandi has lived in the area for 30 years and her husband was born in Badalucco so guests can get information on all the best spots, directions, local food and wine etc. Please note Mandi and Columbo do not take credit cards or cheque so guests are asked to have the cleaning fee and deposit ready in Euros.
