Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

The apartment is located in Piazza de' Peruzzi, an ancient and charming square in the centre of Florence, at a real walking distance from all of the most important sites of the city: Santa Croce, Piazza Duomo, Galleria degli Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and it isf placed right in the heart of the most alive area of the centre, where you can find all sorts of restaurants, internet cafe, coffee shops, mini market, cinema, theatres, and much more.

The Santa Maria Novella railway station is barely a 10-15 minutes walk away, and the Peretola international airport is at about 20 minutes distance from the apartment by taxi or by coach.

The property is on the 1st floor of a 13th Century historic building, just in front of an ancient Roman theatre (the first Roman construction in Florence), which is now a beautiful semicircular stone building. It has been completely renovated in September 2010, and it offers all the comfort of modern facilities together with the warmth of authentic antique furnitures, paintings, and a painted wood ceiling.

The apartment is composed of a huge main bedroom, with a baldachin king size bed, a Jacuzzi bath tub inside and a bathroom en suite with a comfortable shower.

A lovely living room with a completely equipped kitchen, and upstairs a pleasant loft, which has an open double bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom with a huge shower, and another separate bedroom with two single beds.

The size of the apartment is about 100 square meters, and it looks into the ancient square dei Peruzzi, a very quiet and charming corner of Florence, less than 100 meters from the famous church of Santa Croce.

The apartment gets plenty of sun, and it's located in the same building, and on the same floor of two other apartments listed on VRBO: #209297 and #227076 which can host 7 and 6 persons. So if your group includes up to 19 persons you can have the chance to stay together next to each other in 3 different apartments.

In the last few years I have bought 6 apartments in the same area of the centre of Florence, the Santa Croce's area, since I believe it's the most authentic, safe and still alive part of the city. Everything can be reached in 5 minutes walk: museums, churches, markets, shops of any kind, restaurants, coffee shops, and you can really feel to be in the core of ancient Florence and you have the chance to experience the real life of the town.

Our first trip to Firenze and I couldn't have pick a better place if I had known what I was doing. Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio, and your fist cup of cafe and croissant right around the corner. This is a must stay.

The owner agreedcto rent us the apartment for 3 nights, which I believe is shorter than the norm. It was fantastic-clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated.
On top of that the owner is very nice and helpful. I am already lookimg forward to our next visit.

It was a great location and a darling apartment and we were met promptly to be let in. The property was also very clean. The only issues for us was the fact that we had 6 adults and were only left 4 bath towels total for 3 nights. Also, I can never understand why they only leave you two extra rolls of toilet paper. Toilet paper is cheap and it is a pain to try and track down a place to buy it while you are trying to do tours and site see. More toilet paper and a couple of boxes of tissue would have been greatly appreciated. Also, I feel like they rushed us out of the place on the day of check out. We were told 11 am check out and the cleaning lady showed up at 9 AM so we threw our stuff together and rushed out by 10 so she could clean. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there.

Our stay in the apartment in Santa Croce was outstanding. The apartment was well appointed, contained all we needed for our stay and was very close to major venues in Florence. Tiziana was a gracious and conscientious hostess who was available at all times of our visit. We would give this rental a 5 star rating and we plan to return next year.
