Overview

Mammoth Lakes Condo Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms Town Home + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-9)

Sierra Manors is our home away from home. We have lovingly remodeled this townhome so that when we use it ourselves its as if we never left home. The spacious upstairs kitchen/living room/dining room area is light, sunny and airy with a cathedral ceiling and windows on both sides. The picture window looks out across the balcony and on to Lincoln Mountain. The kitchen has been set up with all new amenities including a toaster, blender, crock pot, coffee maker and microwave. We have cable TV, Free High Speed Wireless Internet connection and a full entertainment center all available for guests.

Downstairs has 3 bedrooms: a California King platform bed, a queen bed and a bunk bed with a twin bed on top, full size mattress on bottom and a full size trundle bed underneath.

There is a full bath in the master suite and a second full bath in the hallway for the queen and bunk bed rooms. There is a washer/dryer in the unit and plenty of furniture for storing your clothes when visiting.

The location of Sierra Manors is excellent, right in the center of Mammoth Lakes. Literally across the street is the popular restaurant/night spot - Rafters. The Charthouse and three other restaurants are within a block. Directly opposite our townhome is the shuttle stop running all year long all around Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Mountain. This is truly an incredible place to stay all seasons of the year!

Mountain biking, hiking, rock climing, golfing, horse back riding, in summer, skiing, snowboarding, crosscountry, snow shoeing, sleding, snow tubing... in winter

About Kasia Epstein

I love the outdoors. I started traveling the world since I was two. Hiking, running, skiing, horseback riding, swimming are just some activities I enjoy with my family. I came to US twelve years ago and that year we started going up to Mammoth. We’ve been going ever since. We ski and snowboard in winter, summer time we go fishing, hiking, play golf and mountain biking. My kids love bouldering and rock climbing. Town of Mammoth Lakes organizes concerts and festivals for music lovers and races/ competitions for sporty people. The back country backpacking is a way to go to see stunning sights, breathtaking vistas, wildlife and amazing botanical exhibitions nature has to offer. We often take day trips to Mono Lake, Yosemite, or bristlecone forest. I love having all that in my back yard.

Kasia Epstein purchased this condo in 2010

Why Kasia Epstein chose Mammoth Lakes

This is our home away from home. We can stay longer periods of time working from home; all you need these days is high speed internet, yes? and still enjoy the outdoors.

We’ve been coming here since 2001 (my husband even longer) and we finally found a place not far away from our hangout – Rafters, so we bought the condo mainly for ourselves but big enough to enjoy it with our friends.

Mammoth has other great restaurants, just outside our door, walking distance! We can party if we want to or have romantic dinner just for two. We can walk to Vons, five minutes from our house and kiddos like going to the movies or rent a DVD to watch at home. In winter we have a skateing ring across the street, and in summer kids can play mini golf.

What makes this condo unique

When we come up, we like to stop sometimes by Mahogany Meats in Bishop, they have the best beef jerky I ever had. On our way home, we often have lunch at Schats Bakery which is an experience within itself. Oh, there is so much to do! I can go on and on and on. You just have to come and see for yourself. Life is good and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Awesome Condo w/ Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We had four kids and three adults. This condo was more than roomy for all of us and had the perfect amenities for entertainment and comfort. The kids enjoyed the board games and we cooked homemade meals both nights of our stay. It is walking distance to many shops and restaurants and super close to mountain including the shuttles. The condo is clean and the owners are super nice and responsive. We will definitely be looking to stay here in the future whether it be in the winter for snowboarding or summer for hiking!

Great Location - Perfect place with flexible sleeping options for varied group sizes!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 5 (original estimate of 6-8) stay here and it was more than enough room for everybody. We could have comfortably fit 3 more people in the condo, and definitely squeezed in a couple more. The location is right across the street from Rafters - near many other restaurants and bars to make the nightlife experience super convenient once the sun goes down and things get a little chilly. You will need to drive or bus to the lifts, but they're still super close.

The condo is kept up pretty nice & stocked with quite a few things you would need (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, pool towels, extra blankets, basic cooking spices, tupperware, basic cooking tools, etc.). If they missed anything, you're pretty close to Vons to grab any last minute needs. The furniture is all very comfy and the condo in general feels pretty cozy. It is a reverse layout with the shared living spaces and kitchen on the second floor so if stairs are a problem, I would not recommend this spot. However, we will definitely check this place for availability when we look to rent again next year.

The condo is on the main street, but traffic noise isn't bad. We happened to be up there on an extra big party weekend so I was kept awake a little bit by some partiers raging pretty hard since the master bedroom windows are facing the main street, but it all worked out OK and I knew to expect that. Mind you, this also comes from a TERRIBLE sleeper - EVERYTHING wakes me up, so if you're an OK sleeper then you should be fine even on a big night. My boyfriend slept through everything. The other 2 bedrooms face the back into the condo community so they were nice & quiet. There was always the option of going to the comfy couches upstairs as well if it were bad enough.

The only other thing I will warn is that the rules stating no alcohol at the jacuzzis are extremely strictly enforced. We saw an entire jacuzzi full of multiple parties get kicked out because one party had some beer even though they were being really mellow. Let your jacuzzi time be true chill time and enjoy the vino back in the condo ;).

Overall - this is a great value that allows you to be flexible with your number without getting too expensive if people flake last minute. We were super stoked to stumble upon it on VRBO!

Great Group Experience

  • 5 of 5

9 of us (couples and singles) really enjoyed the cozy vibe of this condo. The location was great! Walking distance to restaurants and stores and 5 minute drive to the slopes. The condo had everything we needed to cook Family style meals. Equipped with Board Games and a comfy living room with fire place for hanging out. We had a great time.

Perfect location for experiencing Mammoth

  • 4 of 5

First time in Mammoth and very happy with these acommodiations.

We were 4 adults and 2 children and there was more than enough space. 3 full bedrooms with doors all on the lower level and huge living area and dining table and kitchen upstairs. Kitchen was FULLY equipped with any and all gadgets you could want (much more so than any other rental we've done). Unit has tons of board games and books (for adults and kids) and she even provides sleds for renters to use. We took advantage of the outdoor jaccuzzis too (found the one to LEFT as you come out the front door better than the one behind the main office because it was bigger.

Location was great - easy drive up the mountain to reach skiing (which has free parking) and Old Mammoth Road (where rental is) has the most to offer as far as restaurants, groceries, sports rental equipment, etc. Only .4 mile walk to the new Rock N. Bowl which is a great evening activity.

Would definitely recommend this place and would return.
