It was a perfect weekend at Laurel Beach spent with Friends. The Beach House was beautiful everything (and more) we expected it to be.
Would be interested in renting for another long weekend.
What a great place - I have not been back East in about 4 years and picking a place via the internet is always a risk however this risk paid off big time. A big, cozy home that welcomed us after our long day of travel from AZ. Great place for a big BBQ - we actually had 2 family picnics with 25+ people at each - the yard was made for entertaining.. Short walk to the beautiful beach where my kids played in the tide pools and experienced things I did when I was their age. Living in AZ we are not often exposed to horse shoe crabs :). Close to the train station for a day in NYC which was amazing.. I would stay here again in a second!!! If you are looking for an uptight, resort this is not the place for you. If you want a family friendly, cozy home this is your place.. Joe - we had a blast - thank you for opening your beautiful home to us... We would love to come back again!!! Oh the 4th of July on the beach was AMAZING!!!!!
We have stayed here twice before so know that it will be ideal for our family group of five to stay. Description of the property was accurate and the house was well fitted out and clean. We were within easy distance of the beach, Silver Sands Park, the shopping mall and both the Ambrosia Bakery and Little Lassies diner. We enjoyed the Audubon Centre which is less than a mile away and were delighted that the ospreys had produced their first egg the day before we arrived. We cannot fault the house or environs and would certainly recommend it to friends. We feel at home there and to arrive after a long and demanding drive from JFK airport and the flight from England to be greeted by a glowing fire in the lounge and the chance to sit and have a cup of tea, makes wonderful start to a holiday.
VERY NICE HOME. PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY GETAWAY. WELL EQUIPT. EVERYTHING WAS IN WORKING ORDER. THE BEACH WAS BEAUTIFUL , ESPECIALLY FOR MORNING WALKS AT SUNRISE.
Every year my three brothers and I spend a weekend somewhere in New England. Since we are all from Milford originally, this year we chose to stay near the beach where we grew up. We found this home to be very comfortable with great sitting areas and a sunny 3 season porch. Short walk to the beach and also to the Audubon Center at the end of the main road. We enjoyed cooking outside on the grill and also found the kitchen big enough for us all to move around. We may have found a permanent site for future reunions ! Thanks. - D. Neilson, Rockland, Maine
We were pleasantly surprised with the beach rental. After Vicki's bad review we were hesitant about renting. She must have been having a bad day. The house was a perfect family rental. A very homey, comfortable beach house. As soon as my 5 children explored and picked their rooms and started moving in, I knew it would be a great time. My family had a relaxing and wonderful time. It is a short walk from the beach, the appliances were new and everything worked. The 2nd floor bathroom was a huge hit with the big tub!! The outside shower was great and the gas grill was an added perk. The beach is beautiful and a great place to walk along the water. I grew up in Milford but never went to the private Laurel community, I wish we had. What a tranquil , family getaway. I will definitely bring my family back again , to enjoy my home town. We had a chance to walk by the wildlife sanctuary and it was another hidden treasure. We ate at our favorite restaurant Gusto's Trattoria on the Post Road several times and one night at Lassies. Everything you need is right there or a short drive. Joe Bennett is accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I look forward to another Laurel Beach vacation at Laurel Beach 930929!!
We stayed at the house for a week. we comfortably fit (5 kids, 2 adults). I loved the quaintness of the house. It is a relaxing atmosphere with all your basic needs. The outdoor shower was a huge help and big deal, loved that. Beach is very rocky and full of shells, but very quiet. Never saw more than 15 people out there!
We had a great time and enjoyed real family-time.
