My family moved to New England in 1970 and spent years exploring every state and national park, beach and mountain. Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Acadia and the National Seashore were family favorites, but Cape Ann has a flavor and a vibe all its own. In 2011 I bought a piece of the Massachusetts coast line and have felt blessed ever since.
When this condo came on the market, I was sure I wouldn't get it. But I had to try because I knew there was absolutely nothing like it anywhere. I love nothing more than to share it with friends and people I who reach out to me on HomeAway.
The sun rise over the water in the middle of the picture window, then floods the living room with an impossibly bright light. Take your coffee and head out to the porch. Watch lobster boats amble by, seagulls trailing behind and wonder, 'What was I going to do today?' And, how important was it? Its hard to leave. In the evening, watch the moon rise red over the island and wait for stars. Listen to the waves smash or roll onto the rocks below. Leave the door open at night and you can hear the waves and the wind it in the bedroom as you sleep.
The sights and sounds of Gap Head transform and enrich those who come and make them want to stay forever.
