About this property

Romance. Magic. A special place for very.special occasions.

Experience the allure of this extraordinary property nestled on the coveted north shore, boasting a blend of artistic touches both inside and out. Glowing reviews attest to the owners' professional expertise in the hospitality business, evident in their meticulous care of this rental gem over the past nineteen years.

Picture yourself gazing through expansive windows with breathtaking, awe-inspiring views. Imagine an ambiance enriched by the comforting embrace of knotty pine, adorned with antique furniture, and punctuated by discoveries of unique touches throughout. Indulge in the hot tub. Explore the lake in our canoe, or unwind in the hammock. Situated slightly back from the shore, the residence offers an intimate, romantic atmosphere while providing an expansive panorama of the lake and the majestic northern boundary ridges of Olympic National Park.

As your hosts, boasting decades of hospitality experience, we prioritize service and respect. Feel free to inquire about our curated "things to do list" and peruse our reviews for insight into the exceptional experience we offer.

Why choose us over others on the lake:
-Views of the soaring Olympic ridges (not visible from all the south shore properties).
-Good privacy (we’re not in a community of homes).
-Easy quick access to Hwy 101 (we’re not on crowded South Shore Rd).
-Communication with guests (we’re not just a cattle operation).
-Artistic touches throughout (not our style to leave well enough alone).
-A pioneering vacation home (not new to this!).

Note: For convenient parking right at the house, an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle is required. Happy to advise.

Sincerely, Madi and Randy Adams

A perfect retreat
I have nothing but praise for our experience at this beautiful home and property. My daughter and I came here for a peaceful retreat and were so pleased to find not only peace but beautiful artwork and comfortable accommodations. The host was WONDERFUL— really made sure we were prepared for the driveway and was just the right amount of involved😊

A perfect honeymoon
We absolutely LOVED our stay! This was our third Vrbo rental this year and by far the best. When searching for a place we like this cabin but were nervous about the need for an all-wheel-drive vehicle and the price was a bit outside of our budget, but I am so glad we did not let those things stop us from booking this cabin. The house is well cared for, homey, and obviously loved. The property managers were very accessible and have put a lot of thought into every item and it shows. We most enjoyed the outdoor spaces (hammock, multiple decks, dock with chairs), featured local artwork, and the fish!

My wife and I have decades in the hospitality business. I have a degree from MSU in hospitality business management, and through the years, as a team, we have helped management several well known bed and breakfasts on the California coast, in Asheville NC, and now here. As well, we are both professional artists and collectors, which shows throughout the house.

Why they chose this property

After getting to know Lake Sutherland, we waited for this property to come on the market. It's rather special. Not just the house, but the setting. Because it's on the north shore, the view out over the lake includes the massive soaring boundary ridges of the Olympics. The house, the setting, the view...wow.

What makes this property unique

This place can't be beat for: 1) Exploring the Olympic National Park. The proximity is fantastic. Some of the best hikes are nearby. Spectacular waterfalls and old growth virgin forests dripping with moss and ferns (Olympic National Park holds the worlds largest temperate rain forest). 2) Enjoying an incredible view right outside your window. Our 'wall of windows' looks out over a jaw-dropping vista of water and mountain scape. 3) Our attention to detail. 4) All the other things to do...day trip to Victoria BC from a ferry right out of Port Angeles, fishing off the dock, or chartering out of Neah Bay...it goes on and on! We are happy to help you plan your moments.
