Nakusp House Rental Photos and Description

house 3 bedrooms, 1 &1/2 bathrooms, sleeps 8+

Soak in the natural hot springs water that is known world wide for its healing properties. Enjoy the large private deck that overlooks glaciated peaks and the deep blue waters of Arrow Lake. This three bedroom home can accomodate 2-8+ guests comfortably. Wi Fi is available along with a satelitte radio to accomodate a variety of musical taste, and there is a DVD player. Many people enjoy just soaking and relaxing or going to the nearby spa for a massage. However if you like action, the area is best known for incredible snowmobiling and heli skiing during the winter! Year round activities like fishing and hiking are also popular here. Nakusp and Revelstoke have great beaches, museums, shopping, and restaurants. We will be glad to suggest safe local adventures like kayaking on the lakes, hiking through alpine wildflowers and walking to invigorating waterfalls. Whitewater rafting, paragliding, cycling and numerous other adventures also await you in these breathtaking mountains!

Both Nakusp and Revelstoke have restaurants, museums, paved walking paths, beaches and parks. The home is near Halcyon Resort which has a spa, massages and a restaurant. If fishing is what you are after Upper Arrow Lake has world class trout in the fall and spring months. The mountains here are home to several Helicopter and Snowcat Skiing operations as well as Revelstoke Mountain Resort. In the summer the alpine lake hikes, biking and waterfalls are absolutely incredible. There are plenty of family attractions and local events to provide entertainment. So, there are year round experiences that are as memorable as the natural hot springs! www.hotspringsescape.ca for more photos and info. Call today or book your escape online right now!

RELAXING RETREAT.

  • 4 of 5
My wife and two children spent a few days here in February. The location is picturesque, the back deck with the hot tub has breathtaking views of the lake with the mountains in the background. Having access to your own natural hot spring fed tub is a luxury that can only be found in very few places. The cabin is well stocked and cozy. The Internet signal though was too weak for any connection from inside the house and we were asked to take our garbage with us but had to leave it as we had no room to pack it. Overall a great stay!

GREAT WINTER GETAWAY

  • 4 of 5
We had a lovely time! What a fabulous view! There was enough space for two families to enjoy the home and hotsprings hot tub! The place was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. There was no telephone in the home and no cell phone service. A lovely quiet getaway.

Map

Car: recommended

travel 33 km N of Nakusp BC or 67km S of Revelstoke.

The Nakusp and Revelstoke areas are most famous for snowmobiling as well as heli/cat skiing. The Halcyon area is located on the northern end of the Valley of The Hot Springs. For kids there is the Enchanted Forest with adorable elves, little houses and tree houses to explore. Sky Trek is another great activity for families. These two atractions are about 1.5 hours north. There are multiple outfitters in the area who offer summer activities as well that include heli hiking, alpine touring and white water rafting. Motorcycling in this area is very popular with the spectacular mountain views. Mountain biking as well as hiking into waterfalls or amongst the wild flowers is also a favorite pasttime of the locals. Mount Revelstoke Park offers a very inexpensive easy way to drive to the summit. If you enjoy fishing then Arrow Lake has world class lake trout primarily in the fall and winter.

Other Activities: Kayaking, Snowmobiling, Downhill/Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, Heli and Cat Skiing, Rock Climbing, Wildlife Viewing, Mountain Biking, Motorcycling, Rafting, Boating, Spa, Massage, Hunting, Sky Trek with Zip lines and Tree Climbing, Enchanted Forest with elves, characters and treeforts for the lil ones.

Golf: Nakusp Golf course, The Slocan Golf course and Revelstoke Golf Course are all well known for magnificent views and well run operations.

Ski: Revelstoke Mountain Resort is located one hour away. It has incredible advanced terrain and a comfortable Gondola to transport you to the high country. There are also a number of world class heli skiing operations located right in the area such as Canadian Mountain Holidays, Eagles Pass, Mica Heliskiing and Selkirk Tangiers to name a few. If you are looking for Cross country skiing then Macpherson trails are the best in variety and they are well maintained. Located about 30-40 minutes away depending on road conditions. Summit Lakes ski area is great for families looking for less advanced terrain, but great mountain trails and a friendly atmosphere.
