Manta Rota offers its visitors a relaxing and peaceful holiday. As a village which has retained its typical Portuguese charm, guests in this house will enjoy a holiday with a beautiful beach, a good choice of restaurants - several of which are on the beach side - and also a wide selection of golf courses close by. There is no daily market in Manta Rota, but there is a nmini market, bluchers and bakers. For a greater choice of restaurants, shops and bars, the town of Vila Nova de Cacela less than a km away and offers greater facilities including supermarkets, bus stops, train station and a bank. There is little evidence of tourism - this is a quiet town with friendly locals and reasonable prices but with something for everyone! However, the town becomes a hive of activity every 3rd Sunday of the month where there is a huge visiting market selling everything from fresh local produce to clothes, leather goods and hardware! Manta Rota is easily reached from the motorway.
Golf: This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 7 courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and can be reached within several minutes. The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Travelling only 10kms further on towards Spain, the challenging course of Castro Marim, along with its famous country club comes highly recommended and just across the border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses now growing in popularity.
