The check-in/out day for full week rentals is Friday. We hope this allows families to travel to the lake after work on Friday afternoon and enjoy more of the weekend than traditional rentals.
A 4-bedroom 2-bath lakefront home features a level lot out to a sandy beach, boathouse, and swimming bay. This charming, renovated 1960's cottage has all of the comforts of home. Relax in a space that is free from clutter and the distractions of everyday life.
The view of main Lake Gaston and our large cove is enjoyable from porch, yard and boathouse. Enjoy ample seating in sun or shade on the partially covered dock. Situated between large tree buffers, you will love the privacy found in the yard and the large swimming nook created by the fire pit point.
This cottage is located on the desirable North-East quadrant of Lake Gaston. Close to all conveniences, you won't need for anything.
Bask in the natural beauty of the lake, with warm sun, cool breezes, and night skies hosting millions of stars. We are certain you will feel at home both inside and out.
Our Home: Our comfortable home features 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and can accommodate 11 guests. The layout of the house centers around a large living space that includes kitchen with large bar with seating, dining area, TV area with section sofa, and conversation seating area that can also host a game or puzzle table. One end of the home hosts 3 bedrooms, including a large bunkhouse that is perfect for the kids, as well as a full bath with double sink. The other end contains a large bedroom which spans from streetside to lakeside, and includes a quaint sitting area. This room even offers a desk for those who may need to check in at work. Below the master is a full bath and a recreational room that is a big hit with the kids and teens. This room features a Wii game system, games, and sliding door access to the lake.The lakeside covered porch provides an incredible outdoor space for eating meals, reading, or just looking out over the water. Sorry, but we do not allow pets.
Outdoor Fun: The boathouse has plenty of space for lounging in the sun or shade. You will find the seating and lounging furniture comfy and inviting. Two kayaks can be used to explore the coves of Lizard Creek. Or try your luck fishing for bass, perch, or catfish.
The large, flat lot provides space for horseshoes, corn hole, and other sports. Spend the evenings circled around the fire pit roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.
We are located in WildWood Point subdivision, which has a superb community center just across the cove that borders the main lake, and includes a clubhouse, swimming pool, park with picnic areas and play structures, and day use boat docks.
Things to know: Location, location, location... not only is Sandy Shore situated on one of the best locations on the lake, it is also located in one of the best areas of the Lake Gaston region. Not many homes on the lake are located within 2 miles of grocery, pharmacy, banking, pizza, burgers, hardware, and gas.
Provided in the kitchen, you will find a pantry of cooking staples such as flour, sugar, oil, and spices. You will also find plenty of utensils, pots, and pans to make meal preparation easy.
There is a community boat ramp and plenty of cleats on our dock for tie-up if you plan to bring your own boat. There are also rentals available at the local marinas.
