Taj Majahual is a secluded beach residence that is hundreds of yards from its nearest neighbor, on an uncrowded beach. Days will go by with no one but the local fisherman walking by.
While secluded, the property is secured by being fully fenced, having three four legged security guards, and a full time onsite American caretaker. He lives in a casita that is removed from the main house.
The beach is in a bay that is protected by a barrier reef, so the surf is minimal. Snorkeling is available right off the beach, with world class snorkeling about 1/2 mile away.
From the west side of the house you can see a large lagoon,jungle, and sunsets over the lagoon. From the east side, the ocean, beach, and sunrises.
There is a restaurant a short walk up the beach. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are in the town of Mahahual (Costa Maya Port) about 10 miles away.
One guest described the property well- 'It's like arriving on a deserted island that happens to have a 5 star hotel'.
