|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
Steps from Los Muertos Beach, this deluxe villa, for years the home of an American architect and artist, and his designer wife, combines the very best of old-world Mexican charm, with every modern convenience. Original art and artifacts, collected by the owners from their travels worldwide, give the house a level of personal charm rarely seen in rental property. The octagonal living room opens on every side to either the pool, one of the four al fresco dining areas, or the large dining room which seats 8 people comfortably. Each of the four bedrooms opens via grand double doors to a beautifully landscaped sunning terrace, and two of those bedrooms open as well onto a more intimate smaller terrace. With daily maid service and optional cook, the villa offers a rare opportunity to experience Mexico as it can and should be.
For the auto averse, the house is within a comfortable walk to the restaurants and shops of Old Town Vallarta, the Zona Romantica.
Casa Ladera was fantastic! I entertained two different groups during my stay. The first group included a total of eight women ranging in age from 28 to 79! We were celebrating my mom's 79th birthday. The management set each room up with two twin beds to accommodate each of us comfortably. This is a perfect villa for a girls getaway! Within walking distance to everything...beach, restaurants, shopping and more! We ended up cooking almost all of our meals in the villa it was so wonderful! We even brought in a chef for a molé cooking class! It was fabulous!
After four nights, the girls flew home and my husband and four other couples arrived. The management converted the rooms into all king beds! We also added one of the lower rooms/suites for the additional couple...it worked great!
Each room has air conditioning and had a fan...very comfortable. The living room is amazing...it is the perfect temperature all day and night! The pool was cool and refreshing! The kitchen was beautifully equipped! The entire villa was utilized. Plenty of space to come together...and plenty of private space for self reflection. We never felt crowded. It was fantastic!
There are quite a few stairs that lead up to the villa, but most of them are very low profile, so it makes it very easy scale....even for my mom who was turning 79! The beach is very close and beautiful. We even grabbed a private boat at the Los Muertos pier and went snorkeling at Los Arcos followed by a beach day at Yelapa and short hike to the waterfall there! A MUST do! Swimming under the waterfall is fantastic! All this for $20/pp...boat, snorkeling, beach and waterfall...priceless!
We will definitely be returning to Casa Ladera! Thank you Mark for sharing your beautiful home with us!
I recently took my company of 14 on retreat to Casa Ladera and highly recommend it for business or personal travel. The property is beautiful with amazing ocean views, the large rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is beyond friendly. Plus, the location is perfect. A five minute walk takes you straight to the beach or into the thick of Zona Romantica.
Owners Mark and Keith are extremely helpful. They converted single rooms into doubles to accommodate our large group, arranged transportation from the airport, and offered suggestions for nearby destinations and restaurants. We've been on several company retreats in the past and their assistance made this our easiest trip to plan by far.
Ivan and Juanita, the groundskeeper and housekeeper at Ladera, are perhaps the highlight of the whole experience. They are both so friendly and fun to talk to. Do not pass up the chance to have them make a meal for your group at the house. Juanita's dishes are delicious and outdo any restaurant you'll find in town.
We had a great time and will definitely be returning to Casa Ladera!
What a beautiful place, we had a fantastic time at Casa Ladera. We had 9 family members with ages ranging from 10 to 74. The house was perfect. There was enough privacy in the bedrooms for the two couples. Everyone enjoyed the open living / dining rooms and the kids loved the pool. The house is close to the beach and to town, very convenient. As much as we loved the house we absolutely adored the staff. We decided against restaurants, with that many people just making a decision on where to eat could be debilitating. So as recommended by Mark we hired Juanita and Ivan to prepare our breakfast and dinner. It was amazing, the food was fantastic. We are picky - typically healthy eaters. We did menus each day for the next. They went shopping, everything was fresh. They made great breakfasts, even arriving early to accommodate our schedule. They grilled chicken, beef and fresh fish, with vegetables, salads and great deserts. We mentioned that we loved cevache and the next day they prepared not one but three types of shrimp / octopus cevache along with some of the most fresh and delicious tuna sashimi I have ever had. Wow!! Quality food and wonderful service. Juanita and Ivan are amazing. Hiring the staff to cook is great option you may want to consider.
It is the BEST! I have been spoiled! Mark is the most wonderful host at making you feel at home with no worries about anything. We enjoyed the convience, and the excellent location. Prepare your self to gain some weight because of all the great reasturants. The worst I can say is that if you do not go, you are missing out on a great experiencing. Pamper your self. (BTY, excellent wireless!)
From the first moment we stepped in the courtyard, we were amazed. This home was
All it said and much more. The open atmosphere was faboulus in the living room and bedrooms. It was the first time I have ever stayed in a home where the windows and doors all open 24/7. Awesome! coffee in the morning on the patio overlooking the beach was so romantic. Juanita and Evan were so very nice, they took care of our every need. The house was so beautiful, it's hard to express it in words. The house was very clean, and we always had fresh towels by the pool. The pictures are spot on. We had six people in our group, there was more than enough room for all. The pool was so much fun, it was used every day. It's not often you get a heated pool in Mexico. Juanita cooked us breakfast for thanksgiving it was the best. I would and have recommended this place to all my friends. We will be back for sure. It was a short walk to the beach, and cab rides into downtown was only $4.
This truly was an amazing house to stay in while on vacation with our family. A luxury Villa with amazing views and truly a perfect spot to spend the most relaxing week in Puerto Vallarta. The food located in the town was great and we highly recommend making it to Pancho's Takos and trying the Tacos Al Pastor. The house sits on the hill side over looking the ocean and the city. We had Juanita the house keeper cook use several meals which were server outside which was the perfect setting for a large family meal. We also had her cook us breakfast serving her yummy chilaquiles. The rooms were all very spacious and the beds were comfortable as sometimes the beds in Mexico can be extremely hard. All and all I can say this is one of the best houses we have rented over the years of going away on vacations. It was amazingly decorated and the house gave the exact authentic luxury Mexico feel we were looking for. You will not be disappointed in your stay here.
Located a few blocks from the center of Zona Romantica and a short walk to the beach, the villa is within minutes by foot or car from Puerto Vallarta's hundreds of restaurants, shopping, clubs, and sightseeing.
