This inviting condominium is located in the Canyon View Condominiums at Ventana community in the north part of Tucson near the Santa Catalina Mountains. Easy access to Ventana Canyon trailhead for beautiful hikes, close to Sabino Canyon for hiking and biking or enjoying the tram ride for sight seeing. Golf at several nearby courses and swimming, tennis and workout facilities a short walk away at the Community Clubhouse. Conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, library and medical facilities.
All the photos and reviews of this condo are true! We just returned from a one week stay over the Christmas holiday and we did not want to return home to Minnesota! The condo has a luxurious feel, yet is very affordable. The unit has a terrific layout, great kitchen, and the patio is a great place to hang out and have coffee each morning. Each evening we visited the hot tub and pool, looked up at the stars and met some of the year-round residents, who were all very welcoming. We took great day trips from the condo, including Sabino Canyon, which was truly breathtaking, Saguaro National Park, Nogales, and central Tucson near the university. Tucson is a marvelous vacation destination in the winter months.
This property was extremely comfortable, clean and well-maintained. Everything I needed was close and found the owner very accomodating. The pool was beautiful and the other residents in this community were friendly. I enjoyed the views immensely: sitting on the shaded balcony in the mornings and evenings was sublime. Staying here was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
We stayed in this second-floor condo for one week in late May 2012 and found it to be an absolutely delightful place to stay. It is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The condo is furnished with very high-end furnishings and appliances. Everything you could possibly need for your stay away from home is there. It is also very well taken care of. The floor plan is great. The bedrooms are separated by the living room, which has a fireplace. The master bedroom has a spacious private bath with walk-in shower, and the second bedroom has a bathroom just outside in the hallway. The condo is equipped with a washer and dryer, which is great to avoid transporting dirty clothes back home. Both the living room and the second bedroom have a very large flat screen color TV. Both TVs are HD and are equipped with expanded Comcast cable -- probably over 100 channels. The covered balcony has a lovely view of mature trees. The city lights of Phoenix can be seen off in the distance at night. The condo has various recreational items like walking sticks, tennis racquets, and other recreational items. It also has ample linens, towels. This is a premiere condo in a premiere complex. The complex has two different clubhouses with two pools and two hot tubs. One clubhouse is just a couple of hundred feet from the front door of the condo at the most. The other clubhouse has a fitness center and a business center with computers. You can talk to the complex's builiding manager to get a key for the business center. The condo has a key to the clubhouses and the fitness centre, which are kept locked. The complex, although it is not gated, felt very safe, and it is very close to grocery stores and other businesses. When you are in the condo, you feel removed from Tucson city life. There are hiking trails into a canyon at the back of the complex. Shirley Rupp, the condo's rental agent, is absolutely delightful to work with. She responds to emails promptly and is always happy to answer any questions. She even called us after a day or so after we had arrived to make sure that everything was ok with the condo. This was very thoughtful. This is the nicest condo that we have ever stayed in. You won't find a nicer condo in Tucson or anywhere for the money. This condo is an excellent value and has the features and quality necessary to assure a relaxing, enjoyable stay. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this condo again.
It was my first time staying at this condo with my family and I was the owner’s first rental after she moved out. I really enjoyed my stay. The complex is in walking distance of the Ventana Canyon Resort, which is nice for having drinks in the evening and not worrying about driving home. The owner provides a mountain bike and tennis rackets for you to use. There’s a hiking trail head off the parking lot right near the condo, and my family went hiking often in the hills. The unit is situated within the complex very near both pools & Jacuzzis, which made it easy to run back to the house if we needed extra towels, or forgot something for the steaks we were grilling. The fireplace in the club house looked inviting – I’ll try that when I’m out for cooler weather. We were out by the pool most of the time with the kids on floaties, and played tennis a bit. The condo is decorated in a relaxed, southwestern theme without being cheesy. The place was very clean, and had an even nicer feel to it than you get from the pictures online. The master bath in the bedroom with the French doors has a shower stall and two sinks, and the other bedroom is next to a full bathroom with a tub. The washer and dryer are hidden away in that hallway by the full bath. I really liked the additional perks that I don’t see in the other condos, like thick, soft sheets, candle lamps on the balcony, a water softener, and extra kitchen appliances such a crock pot and electric grill. I prefer the upper units so I don't have noisy people above me and also have a view, which I got from the balcony. I loved having breakfast in the morning out there - it's very cozy. I'm sure to stay again.
Snuggled close to the Santa Catalina Mountains near Ventana Canyon Resort, this enclave of condominiums offers magnificent views, easy access to everything and quiet enjoyment. The property is easy walking distance to the pool, tennis courts and workout facilty. Hiking and biking trails abound in nearby Sabino and Ventana Canyon; golf courses, restaurants and shopping are just down the road.
