Joe Wheeler, Wilson Dam, Helen Keller, Muscle Shoals, Alabama Music Hall of Fame are nearby. Handy Festival, First Fridays, Fishing Tournaments are events you won't want to miss. The back yard is Private with lots of trees.

Guest House now open and available- Sleeps 6, $125 night and $75 cleaning fee.

Heaven on earth: You'll think you are in Heaven, when you rest and relax by the pool or have your morning coffee on the back porch overlooking the pool while the birds chirp and flutter about. This House is NOT on the Water but you won't care! Our home is not a mansion but a very comfortable and cozy place to stay while you are away from yours.

The kids and adults alike can enjoy the open space in this house! With 9 bedrooms, there is plenty of room for everyone . There are 3 levels. The main level features the 800 sq. ft Master Bedroom with a Large Master Bath fit for a king. Two other bedrooms share a hallway bath. The Basement features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a wet bar, den and game/workout area with a pool table, treadmill and weight machine. The newly constructed 3300 sq. ft. area features a Master Bedroom and Bath along with two other large bedrooms and a very large Children's Bedroom /Playroom. The kids will enjoy sliding from the top bunk over and over again. They'll enjoy their own TV and movies in the media room.

This place is fun: The newly remodeled kitchen is set up to cook for a crowd. The owner is an avid cook and has left her favorite spices and cookbooks for you to enjoy. The owner is an accomplished artist and you will enjoy the bright cheery colors that she has used to brighten your stay as well as her paintings that decorate the house. Relax by the pool and work on your tan in a private atmosphere, while the kids play nearby. Have your cookout on the grill by the pool.

Enjoy a bike ride in the neighborhood on one of the many bikes parked in the garage and if you get an inkling to go play a round of golf or go to the driving range down the road, use one of the sets of golf clubs, we have left for you.

Lots to do nearby: Centrally located you will be able to attend any event in North Alabama, Mississippi or Tennessee.

There is fishing, hiking and picnicking nearby. Historic Florence is located 10 minutes away. You'll find plenty of shopping and restaurants available. First Fridays in downtown Florence feature incredible artists and musicians. Heritage Park has an incredible playground and very nice splash pad and are located nearby in Florence as well. You can take the kids to Helen Keller's birthplace and Spring Park with train rides, a carousel and splash pad. It is only about 14 miles away in Tuscumbia.

I forgot Chi flat iron and a personal small fan. Really would like to get it back.Please send COD, would be greatly appreciated. Property was very clean and very exciting. Loved this place! Would highly recommend this Beautiful House!

Fun for all ages

We got back from a 5 night stay at Open Heaven. We had 27 of our family ranging from age 2 to age 69. We came from South Dakota and Georgia to spend time together. We enjoyed the Huntsville Space Center and the Helen Keller Museum. Other than those 2 day trips, the remainder of our time was spent at the resort. The swimming pool was great. The pool table was a big hit inside.
We set up in the sunroom for our eating room. They provided plenty of tables and chairs to set up a big dining table. The kitchen is small if you have 6 people trying to work in it at the same time. But it has all the pots and pans that you could ever need. We had a big "Thanksgiving meal on Monday" We had crock pots going with hams baking and a roaster oven going with a turkey cooking in it.

The only draw back is that the big eye on the stove doesn't work so you only have 3 stove eyes to work with. That 1 meal was the only time that presented a problem.

Maintenance responded promptly to fix a broken futon that they were not aware of. Great job.

So, location was good, size was good and a good time was had by all.

Family reunion

Our stay was very enjoyable. Lots of space for all of us (31). There were some issues with the house, light bulbs burnt out, which we replaced. Lower level bathroom had wash cloth folded nicely with tar-like substance on it. inside stove light burned out and needed good cleaning. One burner broken. Refrigerator in garage did not keep foods very cool, but freezer worked great. Had to dump water out of dehumidifier as drain tube had window on it, we did get it fixed. Very helpful when we called for help with wood. We enjoyed our evening around the fire pit. Overall we had a wonderful time there and would recommend to others. Just a few housekeeping issues that need addressed. Some bed mattresses rolled to the middle but we did survive that. The pool was wonderful and enjoyed by all.

We truly had a great week at this property. It was roomy and we were able to accomodate everyone. The pool was cool, but we enjoyed it!! There was plenty to do within a short drive....shopping, parks, the lake....We intend to come back for a return visit in 2013!!!

My family was in the home for the weekend and we really enjoyed the home . We had a few problems with the air on the entry level of the home , we were unable to get air to cool down the rooms near the master bedroom . The lights also went out in the downstairs are in the bar room and we were unable to find the fuse box . Then there were the incidents of the unknown white males who continued to ride by saying go home using the N***** word. But over all my wedding was so beautiful and so was the home my family loved the house . I've been using this site for ove 4 years and I'm always impressed.

Owner's Response: I regret that you had problems at the house. I will check on the air to make sure everything is running properly. I could have gotten our repair people out there to check on it. The Master bedroom does get warmer than the rest of the house because of the very high ceilings and an extra fan is provided. Every once in a while, the fuse box can flip but there are instructions in the booklet in the office of where the fuse boxes are. There are alos phone numbers in the book to reach someone if you need to know something about the house. I greatly apologize for the people riding by on bikes and saying what they did. We ourselves lived in the house fro several years as a multi-racial family and have several neighbors who are culturally diverse. I am so surprised by this and sorry it happened. We're so glad your wedding turned out wonderfully.
