Nice historic cottage on Lake Bellaire; Fishing, Canoeing , Boating, Bon Fires etc. This place is in the woods, with a spring well running under the cottage and into the lake.
Lake Bellaire is never busy even on the weekends. Drive your small boat up the river to downtown Bellaire, or go down the grass river to the chain of lakes. We went as far as Torch lake, it takes about an hour by power boat. The dock area is shallow about 18-20" so do not bring a large power boat, our 16' Sea Ray had about 5 " of ground clearance at the dock. Water on Lake Bellaire is not too cold during the summer so it is great for water sports and swimming and is clean.
The cottage has plenty of space, Large dining area, breakfast area, living room, and back porch. The spacious back porch allows you to watch the kids in the water. Bedrooms are nice, bring your own sheets and pillow covers. Bathrooms are nice as well, one is like new. Keep in mind this is an old place and it has been kept up quite well.
We had only one set back to this cottage there was no laundry room available for the main cottage. They do have a small cottage in the back that has a laundry room but the septic system needs to be fixed before renters will be able to use it. Like I said this place is old but nice. This will be a great two family cottage when they fix the septic for the small cottage.
I would like the week rental to be a true week, as check in was not until 3pm so that is half a day lost, and check out is 10am so that is another half day or so lost. I know there must be some time to clean between rentals but it should not be on my paid time.
Owners are great, they respond immediately to any questions you may have. I am looking forward to staying there again, especially when they get the second cottage running.
