A cozy and up to date Tahoe Donner Vacation Rental

Welcome to The Bernese Mountain Home, a very private and newer 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home that sleeps 8 in lower Tahoe Donner just a short drive to Truckee and all major Tahoe ski resorts. Approx. 2 miles to Tahoe Donner ski hill! The home is accessed through a covered walkway (perfect for snowy days and all your gear) or directly from the two-car garage. **The driveway is sloped so 4WD or chains are recommended for all winter visitors.** --Upstairs: -living room with gas faux wood stove, leather furnishings (seating for 7), lovely views out large picture windows. Sofa bed converts to QUEEN (sleeping for 2); TV/DVD -vaulted cathedral ceilings -entry to primary deck with gas bbq (summer use only) -fully-stocked kitchen with bar seating for 3, opens to living/dining area -dining area with seating for 6 -half-bath, -master bedroom with KING Duxiana bed, TV w/cable, walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom with tub/shower and dual sinks --Downstairs -Bedroom 1: QUEEN bed with direct access to private backyard -shared bathroom with shower/tub combo and single sink -Bedroom 2: two bunk beds (4 TWINS) -Hi Speed Wireless Internet! (connection cannot be guaranteed) -Access to Tahoe Donner amenities (for nominal fee) including Rec center with work-out facility pools and hot tub, downhill ski area (perfect for teaching kids!), cross country ski area, equestrian center, tennis center, 18-hole golf and driving range, hiking, and so much more! -Mins from downtown Truckee! -Approx. 20 mins to Sugarbowl ski area, 30 mins to Squaw, 15 mins to Northstar, and 40 mins to Lake Tahoe This home comes complete with full kitchen and all linens/towels. **No Smoking**No Pets** Owner Has Pets** BOOK 3 NIGHTS, 4TH NIGHT FREE (some exclusions may apply) The majority of guests must be over the age of 25. Great house and location!

This is a great house located in a very convenient and beautiful part of lower Tahoe Donner. It sleeps plenty and has a very comfortable kitchen / living room area with wonderful views from the front deck. We will definitely come back.

Great winter rental - large and comfortable!

This was a beautiful home - clean and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise!. It's close to Sugar Bowl and downtown Truckee. 2 families - 4 adults + 4 kids total stayed here. The bedrooms are good sized, the beds are comfortable and warm! The kids loved being in their own room with the bunk beds. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes (including plastic dishes & cups for the kids). The upper stairs was much warmer than the downstairs so we found ourselves turning up the heat and then opening windows upstairs so it wouldn't get too hot.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children
